Hi Everyone!

Barb - That's fantastic news!!!! I am so happy for you and so relieved to hear they were benign. I hope you do something special tonight to celebrate the news.

Kelly - I forgot about Damp Rid. I think B2Y posted something a while ago too about it and how she uses them too. DD24 is going to pick some up for me today.

Doydie - I can't believe it's already snowing where you are and so much! Stay warm.

Debbie - Yikes!!! Nothing like a big demo and remodel right around the holidays. I hope the demo goes well and the mess isn't too bad.

Sally - Love the cartoon. It was cute.

I called the apartment manager. She came down this morning and checked things out. She's going to contact a mold inspector to come check things out. I spent a couple of nights at my girls' house 1) to get out of here because my allergies were going crazy and 2) DD24 and her bf were going out of town and I went to hang out with DD23 and help out. When I came home this morning, the smell wasn't too bad but was still there. The apartment manager is also going to check the work orders for this apartment as the roof was leaking during our rainy season and caused leaking in my apartment by the a/c unit. She wants to see if he treated the inside of the ceiling with Kilz or something or did he just put new drywall up. She said it may be coming from that and not from the leak my neighbor had in their bathroom. Either way, it's going to be fixed. Thank goodness.

We got the decals and some other decorations done for the baby's room. We didn't put them up but they look so cute and I think it will go great above his crib. DD23 is hanging in there. Poor girl has been on bed rest for a few weeks now. The bed rest is helping and it's now down to a matter of what the dr plans to do when her platelets get to a certain point and/or her bp skyrockets and/or the baby is in distress. It's a complete balancing game and they're trying to keep the little guy in there so he can mature some more and yet keep in mind their health. I'm getting more comfortable with her having him early as she will be 35 weeks tomorrow, which is far better than the 31/32 we were looking at just a few short weeks ago. The goal is to get her to 37 weeks.

We are having some nice weather. All you easterners and mideasterns are going to laugh but I went outside yesterday to prime some frames DD23 was going to paint. In the evening, I went to bring them in and it was chilly outside. I was so cold!!! It was windy too. I came inside and checked the weather on my phone. It was 60 degrees outside. Ok, in my defense, it's a dry cold. It's hard to go from 90 degrees to 60 and windy. Just last week we were sweating it out and I really thought the heat would never go away.

I hope you all have a great evening!

OK, you people getting warm right now. Our low tomorrow morning is predicted at 10 with a wind chill of 1. Now that is cold. And it's November. No snow before pumpkin pie!!!! That's a rule. are you listening Mother Nature or maybe you don't care.

Having trouble maintaining my diet. My pants are getting a little tight and my new sweater has a bit more tummy bulge than I would prefer but I DO NOT want to go to a bigger size. Self control is the only thing I am losing right now

Have had heavy rain all day and it has been raining since yesterday. They need the rain here, but it seems to be feast or famine.

Anya is supposed to come over tonight and help me decorate the tree and put out other xmas decorations. I got a new pencil tree a few weeks ago so it was easy to put together. I do not have much room in my apartment for a tree.

She also wants to cook. Our menu for tonight is grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soup garnished with more cheese, brownies, and hot chocolate with marshmallows. She decided on the menu. She thinks it is winter.

Sounds like a wonderful menu Barb. Have fun putting the tree up. Put some Christmas music on and fix some hot chocolate also

Tomorrow night is Thanksgiving dinner at church. This is the first time since I started my diet 25 months ago that I have gone to a dinner like that. I know it's not a good menu for a diabetic but I am going to have a light lunch and then be ready to have a goood evening meal. I have told Charlie he is invited, no charge but I doubt he will. That means he will have to actually talk to some one he doesn't know and he knows at a conservative Baptist church he can't do his usual rant about politics, etc.

Doydie, your DH and my landlord would get along great!! Everytime he has to come over it's 10 minutes to do whatever he came to do/fix and 45 mins of him ranting about politics!! I just listen and smile.

Kitty, i don't even smile!

Went to churches Thanksgiving dinner tonight. I think I did pretty good in keeping it down. I don't eat things like rolls and mashed potatoes since I can get those things any day. Didn't like the sweet potatoes that were there because they didn't have marshmelllos and no one brought corn casserole. Most of the veggies were in cream type casseroles so I ate green beans. At the desert table I take their nicely cut deserts and take a little sliver off and eat that. That way I can sample several deserts.

Afternoon everyone...where is everyone??

Barb, I am so glad your results were benign! Hope Anya is keeping you busy

Trish, hope the answer is coming on that odor...prayers that your DD is healthy all the way to the end of the pregnancy!

We found out yesterday that the whole remodel can't be finished by the holidays I want to wait to do anything until after Christmas, but DH wants to get the plumbing in and the small bathroom done before the kids come in for Christmas. Arrggghhh...

We have lost 3 fish in the pond the past few days. I have a feeling the toxins from decaying leaves is the culprit...

We are going to have dinner with DS34 & DIL & a portion of her family. It will be their first dinner party in the new home. They both think they will ruin the turkey...I told them nah...it's hard to ruin a turkey!

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. I love this holiday-it allows us to pause and take stock of all that we have in our lives, especially the people who make a difference---like all of you!!
