Heart Thanks Everyone

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the kind words, thoughts and prayers during this past week after my sister died. It's been a tough few days but we all made it through. The last guest leaves this afternoon and I will have a quiet house tomorrow (I am SO not going to do anything - I'm gonna wear my nightgown all day!). This has actually been harder than I thought it would have been - it wasn't a "shock" to any of us that she died. It wasn't sudden or out of the blue. But she was just too young (in my opinion) to leave and she missed out on five of the most precious little grandchildren. Plus, she was one of the sweetest and most giving people I have ever known. Just more stuff I'll never understand but will add to my list of questions to ask when I "get there".

Hi K! I'm glad you will get some much needed rest tomorrow. I think Susan was much too young also. I don't think it matters how long you've prepared for something like this. It's still going to be really rough no matter what. You know she's in a better place now, but right now I'm sure you just wish she was well and back with the family. My thoughts are with you everyday.

Kitty,

I agree, Susan was too young and I can imagine the questions you have. I have a nice list of questions myself regarding my parents.

Starting tomorrow, it's take care of Kitty time. Nothing but R&R. You've been through a lot and I know you're exhausted. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

rest, dear Kitty.

as much as you need.

and remember to take extra-good care of yourself right now.

the mundane routine things will get you through.

Dear Kelly,
No words to say really. I just want you to know that you will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm here if you need anything at all!

Chris

I'm doing OK - sort of still in a daze. We just got home a few minutes ago from taking my sister to the airport. It's just me and Kevin at home now. It seems quiet but that is OK by me. I'm ready for some solitude.

I don't think I really believe it's happened yet - it will take me a while to really believe it's true. Sort of like a bad dream - only it's not.

I will come to terms with it just like I have done (too many times) before. It seems like the only reason our family gets together is for funerals - we've had so many in the past few years. I made the comment yesterday that somebody needs to get married or have a baby quick so we can have a happy reason to get together!
