It is hitting us (Knoxville, TN) right now. I emailed the office and told them that I would be working from home today.

We are in a severe thunderstorm warning and tornado watch right now and the watches until 7:00 pm tonight... They broke into the national news this morning a couple of times asking people to stay put until this line of storms get through and warned that more are coming.

Glad you all are OK, that must have been really awful worrying about your daughter - I would have been climbing the walls !!!

River - stay warm and dry - I can remember getting caught out on the river when a sudden afternoon storm came up while kayaking -- with nowhere to go, that is my worst storm memory !!!! --- - hope you don't have similar memories !!! Talk about feeling like a paddling duck / lightning strike target - that is what we felt like !!!

Will be watching for others to check in....

Glad your OK, snoodles, was thinking about you this morning. My part of town is fairly OK, my yard is full of big tree limbs. My daughter is in the Carolinas, so now time to worry about her!

Weather was very scary lastnight! (felt like a bad repeat of last Tuesday)

Schools are closed here (roofs ripped off of some and no power at many). So far 7 deaths reported. Lots of damage.

We were very blessed, our power is back on this morning and only gutters damaged, tree limbs blown around etc.

Hope everyone's safe and will check in when they can.

Thank you for thinking of me Marcia,

Yes, I woke to all the rain and the warnings on TV and my emergency weather alerter thingy was screaching at me - so I decided to work from home but now - all is fine. I think we have been lucky.

I did go outside to check on my little pond fish to make sure they hadn't washed right out of their pond !!! They are fine - the pond is pretty deep in the center and they are all just sitting down at the bottom.

The extremes in temperatures are amazing !!!
