Indeed a sad mess. Then, found out today that one of my best friend's from HS father passed away in the night. I just went to one last wk for another friend's father.
I know that they both lived a good life, but sometimes it sure does feel overwhelming.

Does anyone else ever get tired of being SAD? It's not a depressing feeling, just a heavy heart. Praying for so many......

Sometimes it seems like there is nothing but sad news. . . I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's fathers passing. Yes, I get tired of sad news, too. Seems like the older we get the more sad news we get - but I guess that's to be expected? I hope things get better - the news we see on television doesn't help any because it seems there is nothing but bad news to report. It's enough to make you give up but all we can do is try to make a positive difference in the world whle we are here.

Chris and Nik are attending all the vigils. They are slowly coming to grips with this but it will take some time before they can walk around the campus and feel safe again, if ever.

Westboro church is planning to protest the funerals and vigils. Please pray for the students that they turn the other cheek to these people and rise above. This is what I keep telling them. The WBC does not need media coverage, we need our students to rise above and show the world that love and compassion rises above hatred and anger.

Update on my mom: She is confused and mixing up her words. The nurse told us this is to be expected for a bit. Overall she is on the mend and not even using pain meds except tylenol. Talk about a strong woman! I'll be going up there later to sit with her awhile.

Can someone stop the world? I think I am ready to get off this ride.

Westboro Baptist "church" has some serious problems, to put it lightly. I hope they aren't able to add to the grief of the families.

Don't you just love "faux" Christians???????

This is wrong on so many levels. Why aren't they putting their energy into helping people? That is the true Christian way.
