Actually, I think I'm like the older version of my mom, when she got to the age where she realized she was taking stuff too seriously..She's nearly 87 now, and a real nut. I love it!
I catch myself saying stuff sometimes (especially when my kids were little), like "don't MAKE me come over there!"..I had my son convinced I really did have eyes in the back of my head and could see thru walls..Now he's got the same nutty sense of humor. Wouldn't change a thing~

It's funny when you were younger you would say things like "I will never be like her!"

Well I have become my Mother LOL. I catch myself saying things to my boys that mom always said.

I walk past a mirror and Whoa.......I never used to look like Mom. It was always Dad!

Yep I've become my Mom and that is a good thing. My mom is a beautiful person inside and out

Default I HAVE turned into my Mom!

Yep, despite my best efforts not to......I have become my Mother!!
My kids have noticed and will snap me back to reality by saying " Wow that was a Shirl moment!" or "Thanks Shirley!" Makes me stop and hopefully get "ME" back together!!
My younger sister and I sometimes do entire phone conversations as if we were "Shirl".
I miss my Mom daily and how much she aggravated me at times , I wish I could have had more time with her and my Dad.
My DD just told me this weekend, when we went shopping for her 'perfect' blouse that even with my Shirl moments I was and still am a "Cool Mom".
