Default Why? Do I Stink?

I was having a discussion with a friend who also has health issues as to, "How often do most people shower or bathe?" She commented that it's too bad you can't really ASK anybody that, because they'll retort "Why? Do I stink?"

I told her that I know just the place where I can ask people that.

This relates just to actually climbing in and out of the shower/tub, and not sponge baths or wash-ups.

The title of this thread made me laugh out loud!!

Just for the record - unless circumstances beyond my control come up I shower every morning. If I don't I just feel "off" all day. I shower, dress and put on makeup even if I have nothing planned for the day. Cause like my Momma always told me - "you never know who you're gonna see or where you're gonna see 'em."

I was cracking up at this poll and it's choices!

I chose every day unless I'm sick or the shower's broken. I remember the first time I told a co-worker I wash my hair every other day and that crinkled up nose and "eww" response I got. Um, hello - I said my hair goofball, I take a shower *every* day! LOL I have a yard of hair going on and it's really not good for my hair to wash it every day but I can't stand to skip more than a day unless I am truly sick.

I try to shower every morning (morning meaning as early as I can move without being scary).

I'm just too stiff if I don't steam a little. And my hair is really scary if I don't at least wet it down some - I have to start over with that every day. But I don't wash it every day. It's curly and weird, sticking up all over when I wake up.

I used to do the whole shower, nice clothes, make up and hair do thing.. not anymore. That wears me out. I only do all if it if I have to now. Then I need to rest lol.

I'm with Frank... I either bathe or shower every day, depending on how steady the legs feel. I have a whirlpool tub, so sometimes I get in that even after I have showered.

In the summer, I take 2 baths/showers a day, depending if I get "icky" outside... Now you know the TRUTH!!

I take a shower every morning, rain or shine no matter how I feel. In fact when I don't feel good I find a shower makes me feel better - most of the time.

Depending on how active or sweaty I get I will also take a shower a second time in one day.

Default I'm with you Kristi,

I have to shower every morning and bathe every night. Sometimes in the summer, there is a shower or bath mid day. I did the same with my kids when they were little. ....a complete compulsive clean freak. It is the ONE BIG worry I have if I were ever to get where I can't take care of myself. I can deal with not being fed..... but can't deal with the thought of not being clean!
