YB - I am so sorry you are going through all this carp! I will pray for you, DBF, and dds that you all find a good place to live (or better yet - enough boats sell in the next week so you can stay in your current house..

Hang in there! We're all praying for you.

Char - please post tonight after you see the house and tell us what it's like. City living isn't all that bad. You'll get spoiled real quickly with everything being so convenient and close by.

This place sounds nice - I hope it's what you need!

Still praying for ya. . .

I got to this a little late, but, so sorry you have to go through this turmoil. I hope you and DBF find just the right place for you and Puppers.

A change in lifestyle may be a good thing for you.

Good Luck.....being the day it is, maybe a little Luck of the Irish!!!

Well, let me clarify "city limits" this is a small tourist town on the coast of Maine, lots of people not the "city" as in Wal-Mart, Grocery Store etc close by..... this is a small quaint town that is full of tourist and houses 20 feet about. I am used to 1/2 mile to the next house - 10 miles to the closest store....

Good luck YB!!! I am hoping this one works out for you, even if it is in the "city". What a thing to have to deal with. Just remember to try and keep your stress level down....easy enough to say, I know....

I will send some good vibes your way!!!!

Well, lambchop, I have to admit something. You know that my heart lives deep in the woods; with the way my body is going down the proverbial toilet, it is really nice to be able to get to modern conveniences in a few short minutes. I also like seeing the kids playing and the waving neighbors as they take their evening strolls.

There really is something to be said for almost any community, lifestyle is what we make of our surroundings.

Jeez...I go to work, get all my stuff done and rush over here to see what you had to say about the house and NUTHIN!

I was laughing when you described the "city" living. You have to let these folks know that the population is less than 100 in the winter! They are picturing a bustling place! It may be thousands in the summer, but it's purty quiet now!

So didja like the place or what???

Sorry RW I was so upset by the time I got home and have my first psy 101 test today that I am NOT ready for.....

We looked at the house and it is right on Main Street right before the pier... it is a nice house and we figure we can figure out something with the dogs so we decided we would take it.... well, after I got back in my car my cell phone rang, it was the owner of the house letting me know she is not quite sure about the dogs - I wanted to cry right then and there but I kept my wits some how. We talked and I told her if it was meant to be then it would work and if it wasn't then that was ok we will keep looking. We talked a few more minutes and she told me she would call me by Wednesday. 20 minutes later she calls back and she spoke with the caretaker (who looks just like my dad!!!) and he told her if she was going to rent that we would be the perfect couple that he loved us both! So she said she was 75% sure she would rent it to us but would let us know for sure on Wednesday.

I will let you know as soon as I can.....
