Trig I feel violated! BIG VENT ABOUT MURPHY!

I'm furious!! Some of you may find this funny and justified, but please refrain from saying anything to upset me further.

As you know my Murphy kitty, who is just about a year old now, has been missing since last Tuesday night. As you know I had anitbiotics for him as was nursing him back to health. He got out the dog door at night.

He returned today. He looks terrible. He looks like he has not eaten in a week. Then I saw it. Or....its what I DID NOT SEE. His freaking balls are gone! Not surgically mind you, but with a knife it looks like. That WOMAN, My neighbor is behind it...I have NO DOUBT.

Okay, so why does he still have his balls? For starters I don't have to justify it to anyone, he's my cat. I know the population problem...But my other cat weighs some 25lbs from not being active after being neutered. So I chose to let Murphy keep his. It's a choice I have and no one elses to make.

ANYWAY! This woman catnapped my cat, cut off his balls, kept him for a week....then sends him home to me like this...sick and thin and balless...okay, funny, ha ha. BUT WRONG!!

UNFREAKING BELEIVEABLE!

So if you can get past his right to ball ownership, and see that my cat was stolen and assaulted....Can you believe the adacity? I can't! Have you ever heard of such a thing?

FTR: While he was gone I CONSIDERED this option to keep him closer...but for a stranger to steal him and do this...Oh! OH! OH!! I"m livid! It was my choice to do, do it right and cuddle him while he healed.

I feel like calling the police! This has got to be illegal somehow.

My other 4 animals are fixed, so don't get on me about it please.

Just venting!!

(((GJ))) I am so sorry!

Call the police. This is abuse to an animal. More than likely it was done without anesthesia as well.

In the meantime, love him up as much as you can. I know how much you were missing him.

I am just soooo relieved that he is back home. What happened to the poor little thing is awful and deffinately not funny. I am so so sorry..

If this neighbor did this, I would sue her for distroying your property and ruining any hopes for little Murphys. You would have to have proof, of course.

Keep that little sweety close at home with you and rub noses often. Awwwwwww

GJ I read your post with absolute horror. I sit here with bulging eyes at what I've read and have only just removed my hand from my open mouth. You don't have to be a cat lover, even though I am, to see this atrocity as it is.

I'm appalled to say the least. I have to agree that what you decide is best for your animals is your decision. No-one has the right to take that away from you, and I can't imagine anyone thinking your post was funny. Most human beings aren't that sick.

Call the police, call each and every person you can think of. We have the RSPCA (Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and they'd be the ones here in Australia to take this on board. Surely you have the same, or something similar??

I wish I could offer you something more, to ease your anger and your hurt. Please know that I'm thinking of you and Murphy. Big hugs to you, and very gentle little ones for Murphey.

How awful!!! I would call the police and report it! Certainly take your poor cat to the vet too. At least for some antibiotics and pain medication.

i do not like cats at all... but this is just so far beyond humane it isn't even funny.. hope he recovers ok from it.

some of us treat our pets (mine just happen to be dogs) like part of the family.. and if anyone were to touch my pets in a manner like that or anything i deemed unacceptable and painful to the animal there would blood..

you are taking it a lot better then i would.. heck if that were my pet.. id be on the news right now yelling into the camera "they had it coming and i am not sorry!"

Thank you everyone! I'm sorry, I thought someone might think it was my fault and I deserved this for not fixing him myself. It's been a topic in the house the past month...I've just put it off. This was the WRONG way for it to happen. Just terrible sick people in this world.

DH just got home from work, and I have to believe his therory. This lady down the street LIKES Murphy, as does her little girls. I may have pointed the finger in the wrong direction. He points out that she would have fed him, and cared for him...he's right.

DH says that it is obvious that he has not eaten, like I said. I called all the local vets to see if THEY had done this, and what I found out is that if he is not shaved, he did not go to a vet. Someone did this cruelly to him. His poor claws are all screwed up and he is a mess mad:

DH thinks that the cat he has been fighting with, that that cat's owner did this. He thinks that the guy grabbed Murphy, cut off his balls, and of course Murphy ran like the wind in pain as far and fast as he could. He probably lay under a bush for days in pain and healing. DH says when he got enough energy back, he found his way home.

Its so sick!! So mean!! The right thing to do would be to take him to animal control and leave a message for me....to meet with me and reason with me if there was a problem. Murphy is a small cat and been getting his butt kicked by this other cat, so he couldn't have done much damage to their cat! Murphy also lives with two dogs and two cats, he is the biggest lover of them all...he dose not want to fight, he wants to purr and love and sleep with the other animals.

I'm just sick about it, but I have NO idea who did this. The vet said that they are aware of this happening around town. It's not unusual!! Can you even imagine the mean heart a person like this must have? DH says to be grateful that he is alive, and they didn't kill him.

Well, he won't be going far anymore. His Tom Cat days are over. I doubt he'll ever want to leave again

Thats what my DD is saying too...call the news!! I'd call the police, but I don't know who to report now....I'll be watching for mean men around my area!!

I'm horrified. This is so far beyond appalling. Who could do such a thing to an animal? That's really all I can say right now because I'm stunned.
