Default Opps! That's gonna leave a mark!

I just gave myself a shot of C. Just like I'm supposed to, except for one thing.

I forgot that I gave myself my shot in the right thigh on monday...and I just gave myself tonight's shot about...oh...about an inch to the right of monday's shot.

and when I was checking my thigh, I apparently missed the big bee sting welt from monday that was still there. So now monday's welt is a satellite to the huge gas giant planet of a bee sting welt from tonight's shot.

ohmygosh-it itches!!!!!!!!! and burns!

Note to self...Self, please do not do that ever again!

I need more icepacks.

wow i can't imagine how that's gotta hurt. i keep it written down where and when i'm supposed to get my copax. cause i can never remember. and i almost always end up with a big red bump, usually though it's gone by the next day. my stomach is the worst. the shot doesn't hurt but wow it gets red and itches terribly.

A friend of mine who is on C said that she sprays the injection site with Dermoplast directly after the shot. Get the red can - it's the Antibacterial formula. I'm on Beta but was on C before and know all about the big, itchy welts.

I tried Dermoplast because sometimes I get a site reaction with the Beta - nothing like the C - but still a little itchy sometimes. The Dermoplast works well, it's cooling and it sanitizes the injection site at the same time it relieves the itching. It works for me - hopefully this will be something you can try for some relief.

It's in the first aid section of any grocery or drug store.

The easiest way for me to keep track of where I've shot myself is by the continued presence of large red welts (LOL). I've only been on Copax for about 4 months and understood the swelling, redness and itching would improve. I guess it improved, but not by much! It takes about 4 days for the redness to go away, thank god the itching is gone after about a day. But its a week or more before the big lump disappears, even if I massage it.

I've been on C for about 5 or 6 months. The reactions got better after I started to inject manually. But, they're still really itchy.

Last night's shot made a ginormous lumpy spot because it was so close to monday's (or was it tuesday's?) injection site which was still lumpy.

I think I need to have my dad do my shot in some hard to reach places for the next few days. Give my thighs and stomach a few days to de-lump themselves.

if you are using the auto inject on Copaxone max sure the needle isnt set too deep and make sure its room temp when you inject it will make some diff , how msny of you like the stomach injection site, thats what i enjoyed the most when i first started could they find any more sensitive spots to inject

hush yes I know they could of and I dont want to think of any

I do it manually now. Got tired of having to load the autoject, and plus the autoject injects so fast that it makes me get huge site reactions.

I've assigned different days to different injection sites. Monday is left arm day. Thursday is Right leg.

Some people have used the journal shared solutions gives to keep track of sites. Others just write it down.

Sorry to hear you hit too close to your last injection. I've done that once too.
