I know it is all so overwhelming right now. Cancer just sucks. I know how hard this is for you. We knew from the moment my mom was dx'd that she wasn't going to make it and they said she was too sick to even try any kind of treatment. Nearly two years later, it still seems so unreal.

Just take it one day at a time and only do what you can handle. Wearing yourself out isn't going to help anyone. I am glad that you are going on that spa vacation. You might need it as much as your mom!

I agree with everyone that mentioned hospice. They were a godsend with my mom and also my SIL that just lost her battle with cancer.

Don't forget while you are here in Pittsburgh that we can always meet up for coffee if you want to escape. We could meet partway at the Waterfront in Homestead or something if you can get away.

You take care of yourself. Remember that on airplanes, they always tell you that the adult should put their oxygen mask on first before helping the children with theirs. That's because we can't take care of other people if we don't take care of ourselves first!

Best wishes and hugs to both you and your dear Mom.

Have fun at the spa together!

Hey Joellee~ How in the world did I miss this??

I know how you feel and am so glad you are going to spend some time w/your Mother. You will never regret one minute spent esp the spa date.

All I can say is that I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. I agree that Hospice can be of great comfort to your Mom and your whole family. Please keep us updated as best you can and tell Mom that she has alot of people praying for her.

Take care of yourself..
