Julie - use this opportunity to play verbal type games. You could also use your laptop (I am assuming that is what you are using right now as you don't have electricity) and take a cyber vacation with them. Search some foreign country, look at the pictures, and play an imagination game of what it would be like to be there and what would they do. Or, look at paintings on the internet and have the kids talk about what they are seeing; colors, interpretations, designs, etc. Have fun with it. As I am sure you know, bored kids mean trouble. LOL

I'm having to use my cell phone, I have the kids out in the back playing right now, its very nice and breezy. Our whole back yard is shady so we can play all without worring too much about sun burnes.

I've been in Tulsa for 4 days. I left there this morning during a wild storm! Can we say E-ticket ride at disney! Yeehaw!!

Anyway, flooding, thunderstorms, lightening, hail, tornadoes, you name it, I saw it while I was there.

I have been all over the country today trying to get home...Tulsa, OKC, LAS, PHX, and now I am in Salt Lake City....I am NOT spending the night so I am headed to Twin Falls and driving home from there.

I hope everyone survives the nasty weather in the mid/southwest. It's windy and cloudy here, but I can handle that.

Remember the saying - turn around, don't drown when you see high water on the roadway!!!

I'm so sad, we have lots of trees in our back yard and they gave the kids LOTS of shade, well the power company had tree trimers come by and trim all the trees the were within 4 feet of the power lines. Well we lots almost ALL our shade. I just can't belive they had to cut SO much.
