Kevin? Who's Kevin?

My dad's name was Kevin, and guess what? He was a police officer!

Kevin is the youngest (21 next month). Matt is the oldest (25). And I'm ancient.

Sounds like a cozy arrangement, Kelly.

We have 4 kids. They're all gone and married now, but for awhile it seemed like whenever we'd help one move out the front door and wave goodbye, there was another sneaking in the back door. No place like home, is there?

Kelly,
My 25 yr old dd moved back home from Alaska a few months ago...divorce...she had been there five years. I too am glad she knows where home is and she is always welcome. She has her own place now and is getting back on her feet. This perfect life we have molded for our kids takes on different paths than we had planned for them. I hope everything works out for your son. Enjoy having him home for as long as it lasts. I wish all of you the best.

I am sure you will enjoy having those men around together! It's hard because your used to being on your own for the most part but it will be nice to have extra hands.

I use tough talk with my boys and have always taught them how to make it on their own after college. But they also know if they really needed help our home is always open. All we ever ask is that they show us their trying.

I do hope your son and his gf work things out. If it's meant to be they will.

Hi Kell,
I do hope your son and gf work things out. I hope that you truly enjoy every moment having him home and having both your boys at home.

My daughter moved in and out for years - she is now married with a baby and they are very, very happy. My son moved out and only came back once, he had just got married so he came home with his wife - (whom I also adore) and they lived here about 4 months while their home was being finished.

Our home was always "the" home that all the neighborhood kids and school friends came to. Consequently - it was always a mess but I knew what my children were doing and who they were with. I am still close with their friends.

In fact, today, while I am gone to a play, my daughter-in-law and one of her friends will be here at my place studying between classes. LOL My place is still the gathering place. My daughter who lives across the street will no doubt stop in with the baby to chat.

Nothing like our children - I know you are glad that they know they can always come home !!!

I'm sure that if my children took advantage of things (or me) - I might feel differently - but my children have been so great - such wonderful young adults - OK _ now I have fallen into "bragging about my kids" I will hush !!! ROFL......

I've been blessed - and sounds that you are indeed very blessed !!

I know....Kevin is at work all day and I'm used to being here alone and lounging around the house in just my nightgown for most of the morning. Now I have to remember that Matt's here!!! The women here will understand what I mean....

It's fine...I'm not complaining. But you know how it is until you get used to having an extra person in the house. I went out to get the newspaper this morning and wasn't thinking that his police car would be in the driveway. I rounded the corner of the garage and there it sat - bright white with blue lights on top!!! Surprise!!

Oh I do know what you mean. Jim and I are alone all year until summer when they both come home. Then I have to watch myself. lol I can't walk around without my bra or use the bathroom with the door open. And some nights we bake cookies or a snack and now we have to share it. lmao

gosh, Sandy ... I can 'move' in the other 9 months so you'll always feel like sharing cookies!!

gee, Kelly - I'm sorta chuckling to myself ... they helped you move into your new pad ... hmmm, guess you really sold 'em on it - because now they are with you!!

now, put'em to work ... and get the 'ROYAL' treatment ...

I definitely understand being able to wear whatever you want at home. It's just me and DH so I'm spoiled. When I go visit friends/family I have to dress appropriately
