I was on the phone with her while she was sitting at the airport and I could hear the storm raging! I was checking the flight for her.

I was looking at the radar screen in and around Detroit and it was all yellow with red in the middle...not good!

I am glad that they decided to forego the flight and spend the night in Detroit, Cindy. Even that big ol' Airbus would have been tossed around!

I hope he makes it home today safe and sound! Enjoyed our chat last night! What a hoot!

No fatalities here but Indiana had one drowning. They are suffering from the floods bad.

I am south of the heavier storms coming, I hope. Look at Sandwich, I am on that itty bitty lake just south of there. lol I hope Wiz doesn't get storms too bad.

I'm so glad your dad made it in safely ! I can't even get my dad on a plane at all, LOL. Here's his story and he's stickin' to it: He dreamed that he was on a plane going who knows where and that flight was just fine. BUT, on the return flight the plane crashed. He says that he will not endanger other people's lives by flying with them!! Isn't he sweetheart for caring so much about others that he will give up travel to save lives, ROTFLMAO!! Btw, he isn't normally bothered by any other superstitons. Ya think he might have a problem with admitting his fear of flying? LOL

Some people just have that fear Joelle! There's no way of talking them out of it! Would he be safe flying with me? I've been in a plane crash! And NO I was NOT the pilot...LOL!

He wouldn't do it, Cheryl. He'd be afraid that he would cause the plane to crash, LOL! I can't even imagine being in a plane crash!! That must've been terrifying !

I just wish he would fly so much, we live so far apart. He has a very bad back and can't travel long distances in a car. I'm thinking about getting him on a train though. He will at least consider that .

My Mom was afraid of flying. She had to travel for her Job, sometimes. While her coworkers would fly she would take the train. One coworker came running in one day and said...."Did you hear about the terrible train wreak............A Plane fell on it."

Glad Pops made it home, Cin~ He's a tough ole guy. I think it's pretty cool that at 86, he took off on his trip.
What's w/this stinkin weather lately? Yest it was 90 and windy and this morning the wind came up so fast, knocked a heavy bench and a wooden swing over and branches are all over.

Geez~ it has done this 3 days in a row. I can't remember having so much wind in June. *But, then again~ I can't remember what I had for lunch*
