Yeah Julie....see what happens...this may be an easy fix in the grand scheme of things!! Lock him in his room and only give him water and toilet paper
I guess I better take a shower...I've been stinking up the place all day!! Back soon

Oh Julie, I'm sending you some good vibes to help you through this. I hope things work out at the doctor's office - just make sure the doctor listens to you!

Julie, do you think he could be going through withdrawal from the vicodin? If he was taking a lot and then sharply decreased his dosage that could be a huge part of his problem. Just a thought.

I think Greenjeans hit some pretty good points.
It's tough (especially on certain men) when they feel weak, can't get up and DO. That's depressing. And it could be he feels hopeless - 6 surgeries, same place? I'd feel hopeless - can't they fix that? And some people do not take well to vicodin. Or he may be really worried that the vicodin is being restricted so much and he is still in so much pain. I too worry that he may not be healing well, or a different med could be tried. Be his advocate when he sees the doc. Let him know you're there for him, but it would be easier if you knew what he was thinking. Get him talking about it. Hugs to both of you...

OMG
DH did NOT take his valium, he mistakenly toke my Phenergan (anti-nausea). When he had this in the hospital I remember the nurse saying they had to give him a low dose because it makes him REALLY out of it, and well my pills are 25mgs so this is why he was out of it all day and doesn't remember anything. Thank goodness it was only phenergan he toke.
