Sandy,
I'm happy for you. Things are sounding really positive with Jim's new doctor. I'll be anxious to hear more after he has a chance to read your notebook. It's good that you are so organized.
Best Wishes!

Yep, sounds like yous definitely found a keeper in that urologist, Sandy. That's great news and sounds as if he'll be able to figure things out so that Jim doesn't have to suffer with so many UTI's. I bet you and Jim felt so relieved after that visit and knew it was time and energy well spent.

Sandy, that is so awesome!!!! My PCP has that kind of personality, and I love it! He's the one who keeps all my other med guys in check, LOL. Sounds like you found a keeper.

Thanks everyone! I am still just as happy today. lol I am looking for a pcp near home who takes medicare and tricare. What a job. It's like looking through the yellow pages. It was much easier finding a urologist. Maybe I'll ask the urologist Friday who he recommends?

Good news!!! We found a new primary care doctor for Jim! The lady on the phone tells us he is great and we'll like him very much. He's also a former military soldier and attended West Point when Jim was training cadets. How crazy would it be if Jim trained him in weapons ammunition back then? lol He's a vet and Jim really likes that.

Bad news. I was goggling my doctors address in Hinkley to see if they are near each other and I found a malpractice suit against him. Apparently he misdiagnosed a patient with bladder cancer and he has a zero change of living. This occurred last August and I had no idea. The patient won the case. So, I am now going to pay close attention to Jim's new pcp and possibly take him on too.

This means I will have to go to Tricare standard instead of Prime but my health is more important. It's weird, I had a feeling about my doctor for the past year and maybe I should have listened to it. Jim is adamant that the boys and I get into a new doctor. I am also calling Tricare to see what I need to do to change policies. It will probably be like Champus was when I had that.
