Default Answered prayer

I have often mentioned that my Mom lives in a retirement community. These don't come cheap but pays for almost everything. She just pays for cable, paper and phone. They have transprtation to the doctors office twice a week although Mom doesn't like to take advantage of that and will also go to Walmart once a week. Mom also doesn't do that. Sigh!!!!

So, her saving account has been dwindling and will only pay for a little more than a year there. All of us kiids put into her account monthly. She read about the VA widows pension fund and applied. The rep told her it would be about a year. So she got her letter of approval today. With her retro check (works like SSD does) it will be quite a windfall check then also a nice monthly check.

The hard part is now once she gets her check, she wants to go shopping and I don't blame her. But she is soooo slooooooww because of her physical problems. So it looks like we will be spending a day at Sears! But I love her and wouldn't trade her for any other Mom in the world.

Yay, Doyd! That's great news for you and your mom. Isn't it nice when prayers are answered so neatly? Aaaah, take a minute to breathe.

AWWW Doyd~ Your post totally touched my heart. There's nothing like MOMS. My sweet Mother will be gone one year on Mon. I can't believe it. Have a good time at Sears and hug her for me.

Your'e a good daughter..
