I'm glad she accepted your apology. Been there, done that. All we can do is apologize, hope they accept it, and move on.

This is why I'm SO glad there is the "preview post" option we can use before we hit the "submit" button.

Tone and mood are so hard to read through the typed word.

Thank goodness for the smilie icons.....and the "edit" feature!!!

Oh the forum I was on when it happened, they dont have a Preview button. (they need one!) At least they have an edit and delete button tho.

I still feel bad. I unsubscribed myself from the forum where it happened...and the weird thing is, the person that was mad at me...she invited me to join her forum. I'm not sure if I want to do that yet. I think I'll be a lurker at both forums for awhile...at least until that thread rolls off their main page of posts.

Can't you ask the moderator to delete your comments or bury the thread?

Cherie

She decided to leave it up as an "example" of brain fog and to remind everyone to try to pay attention more.

She wouldnt delete it. I think it's embarassing to the girl that got mad for her to leave it up.

I may have read this wrong, but if the moderator has decided to leave the post up, wouldn't that be an ongoing reason for pain for the the girl who was offended and also for yourself, even though you apologised?

If I was a newbie joining that forum and saw that, I doubt I'd stick around for long. JMO.

I know. Apparently that girl is not the best of moderators. I'm hoping that that thread will disappear off the forum soon, because I dont like seeing there, even tho I immediately deleted my post as soon as I realized what had happened. (leave out one or two words, and it changes the entire meaning of a sentence)

I think it should be deleted, but the moderator wants it to stay there...oh well..

I moderate a crochet forum, and I'll cheerfully delete entire threads of posts if someone asks me to. Luckily I havent had to do that for awhile.
