Earl it's really sad to hear how things have gone for you. My heart goes out to you.

My daughter turned 18 in March and will attend Texas Tech this fall. She is my only child and I have raised her alone and she is a teriffic person. My situation is different. Got divoced before her birth. Ex wanted to know about his parental rights I told him he could establish them himself. Meaning I paid for the divorce you can pay this time. I had no intention of filing for child support. I did't want to spend the next 18 years going back and forth to court. Yeah he didn't like to work. I have spoke with my daughter many times to see if she wanted me to find her bio father. Her response was NO...He didn't want to be part of my life why do I want to see him now.

Anyways, it is possible that your daughter doesn't know that you care and have sent cards and such through the years. Hopefully she will come around and realize that she has had a teriffic dad all those years and missed on great times.

Karen

I might have mis-read it but it didnt' sound to me like he actually sent cards and presents to her so truthfully even with the best of intentions she might not know how much he cares.
