Default House Hunters on HGTV

Anyone else addicted to this show?

My favorite stations are HGTV, DIY,TLC, I have been a fan of the home improvement shows as far back as I can remember. I found House Hunters a few months ago and it is set to tape all new episodes on my DVR. I love watching them on weekends. This past week was waterfront homes, WOW, some people have too much money, spending $700 on a vacation home? must be rough.

I have seen several shows where I would love the homes they show. I know I am very fortunate and love the house we live in but it's always fun to see what else is out there.

Another favorite on HGTV is "What's my house worth"

My husband even likes the repeats, but I never want to see the guy on the houseboat again.

Two of the things that make us roll our eyes:

The people that walk into a house twelve times nicer than anything I could ever HOPE to own, look around, and say, "Well, we'd have to replace the outdated kitchen, of course, replace all the carpets and lighting, and totally remodel everything else. But it's really good space."

And the people who choose the house that's best for their dogs.

We are pretty much hooked on it, though. Like you said, it's fun to see what's out there!

Oh, and we don't usually watch "What's Our House Worth?" because it drives us CRAZY at the end of each segment where they say, "If I were listing your house (pause) I'd list it for....(long, long pause.....)"

It's as bad as the old days when House Hunters at the end would pretend to have the realtor call the people with the outcome, and they would pretend to take the call. AAAARGH.

Yep, I'm quite addicted to House Hunters and HGTV in general. Sleep On It is good too.

Of course, shows like Deserving Design and Myles of Style give me tons of ideas to use when renovating our house. DH just rolls his eyes.

Funny thing - I don't watch HGTV - and I work for HGTV. LOL

I love HGTV too. My waking hours this weekend were spent watching that channel. House Hunters has been a fav of mine for a while. It's kind of has a game show quality that makes it interesting. I know I don't always choose the same home for them that they do.

I love to watch the no cost redecoration because that fits in my budget. Curb Appeal is my new favorite this summer.

I'm addicted to HGTV. I'm with you about those expensive homes. And sometimes it's their second home. Some of those guys look at a master bedroom that the size of my entire house and say they don't think it's big enough!!!! I'm a big advocate of ahving a house that meakes everyone, including the kids have to comprimise. That's how they learn to grow up and be successful. Why do kids need a huge bedroom, TV, computer and bathroom all to themselves. My, I didn't mean to get on my soap box.

Any way, I love the international House hunters. I can't go to spain or Paris but I love to see them. And it seems if you watch a travel show you only get to see what the country wants you to see. But House Hunters really puts you where the people live.

I googles Suzanne Wang (sp?) onetime. She's the hostess. This is her second job. She is a stand up comediene and writer.
