Default Coffee makers

Just this morning I was pondering who the idiot was what designed coffeemakers to brew 5 oz cups of coffee??
Does anyone still use those dainty little coffee cups with saucers ? Somehow I doubt it!
I have to brew almost an entire pot just to get two mugs full!

I LOVE coffee and could not survive without it. I have always been a big coffee drinker, having grown up around the kitchen table with the neighbors coming in for a cup of coffee.

Then I entered Nursing and the coffee habit continues. Every one of my co-workers would tease me about the size of my coffee mug!

When I worked 12 hour shifts and my DH was off, he would show up at work about 4pm with his arms loaded with Dunkin donuts coffee. My co-workers adored him....that was just what we needed to get through the rest of the shift until 7:30 pm

I no longer work but the first place I head to in the morning is the coffeemaker. DH bought me a Bunn for Christmas [I asked or it] and it makes an entire pot of coffee in 3 yes 3 minutes!! My only gripe is that I have to make the whole pot in order to get two mugs full!

So yes I admit it I am a coffee addict and if coffee ever become illegal I WILL find a way to get it!!

Now i just need to invent a coffee maker that would make a decent SIZE cup/mug of the stuff.

Oh risby, if you find a good coffee brewer, please let me know. I bought a cuisanart grind and brew a couple of years ago and it makes a good pot of coffee. (I LOVE Dunkin' Donuts' coffee!!!) I have replaced a couple of the parts (free BTW) and am on the hunt for a new one.

I agree, what's with the tiny 5 oz cups? I carry around a MUG that holds about 16 oz of coffee and that's just my first one!

really, it's just a typo.

the pots are supposed to read Sips, not Cups.

thank you so much for clearing that up! Now it all makes sense to this holey brained MSer!!!

5 sips instead of 5 oz...shoot...that is clear as coffee grounds!!

I knew we could count on Yappy to help us out!

I have one of those fancy Tassimo machines. its awesome! I dont drink coffee, but the hubby does, and he makes cappuchino, latte, hot cocoa, and teas in it. I do love the chai tea. mmmm...tea.

When I go south to visit the family, I get sweet tea, and LOVE it. problem is that I am not used to so much caffiene and make everyone crazy for the first few days while I shake and wander.

I really like Dunkin Donuts coffee also and believe it or not one of my favorites is Eight O Clock brand Bokkar blend whole beans. Its relatively cheap but delicious.

We were given one of the Cusinart grind/brews but I hated cleaning it. We still grind our own but I'm back to using my old Mr. Coffee 10 cup, yeah right 3 of my size cups.
