Default My brain has left the building

I went to get gas (for my car ), had to pre-pay (wonder why ), gave her $55.00 and went out to pump.

The pump stopped at $48 and something (what the heck!), went in and told her it stopped before getting to $55.00. She very nicely asked me if I bumped the pump (Hey!, I rhymed), possible. Then she asked: could your tank be full. . . light bulb moment - Yep! That's even more possible.

Oh! And lets not forget the mini-mart/gas station was full of people Well, at least I gave ALOT of people (mostly men) a laugh for the day.

If you happen to see my brain out playing please send it home, I could really use it at the moment.

I know it's late, but, duhhhhh, I still don't get it.

Did they give you change back? I mean, if you prepaid 55,00 and gas was only 48.00???? What am I not getting here?

Snoopy - Maybe your brain is out with mine because I tell ya, I woke up from my nap cog fogging like crazy. Still am hours later.

I have done so many dumb things like that. LOL. The best you can do is just laugh about. I pulled in to McDonald's once on my way home from a dr appoint. I usually don't eat fast food but I was so hungry. So what do I order? A Whopper with cheese. LOL The guy had to remind me I was at McDonalds. I hate McDonalds so I just pulled on through without getting any food. LOL.

Karousel and Sally - LMAO

I'm sorry you didn't/don't understand - now you know how my family feels sometimes

Yes, I did recieve change. Since the pump stopped before getting to $55.00 I thought the lady inside stopped the pump before it got to the $55.00. it didn't cross my mind the pump stopped because my tank was full

Did that make anymore sense?

PJAMES and Frank: I drive a BMW which uses Premium I was down to a 1/4 tank.

tkrik: at least I know I'm not alone

I can one up you on this one!!!!! I went into a Whirlpool parts store becuase my oven wasn't working right. It was burning the stuff on top but wasn't cooked in the middle. So I bought a new heating element, had to unplug my stove which isn't easy, remove the old heating element and put the new one in. It still didn't work.

So I poked around to try to find out what was wrong. My dear husband had put the oven on broil which that was probably the first time it had ever been there. I just took for granted that the oven was on bake. So I had to take the brand new heating element back to the store cause the old one worked fine once I knew all i had to do was put the stupid control on bake.

There were a bunch of men just standing around but I didn't care. I just told them my story, got my money back and left with my head held high. I was proud of myself that I took care of the problem myself and not called a repairman. My husband knows that if something is broke or has to be built, just let me do it. Those pieces of furniture that come in a box in a million pieces, if I left it for my husband to make, he would just start putting pieces together without looking at directions first. But he knows that I leave all the tightening of things to him. So I guess I can't do without him.
