Default My dear SIL has cancer.

My sister-in-law, who happens to be a wonderful person, was diagnosed with cancer yesterday. She'd been having some symptoms that lead her to need a hysterectomy, she didn't give me the details of them though.

Turns out she had fallopian tube cancer, but the doctor told her he thinks he got it all out. I've been researching this rare form of cancer though, and it seems that 90% of cases have mestastisized from somewhere else. After she starts healing from the surgery, she has to go for more tests and a CAT scan. She said her doctor will discuss further treatments with her as well.

This is the SIL who cared for her husband for six years as he battled lymphoma. He even went through a stem cell treatment that gave him about 6-8 additional months. He died a year ago and it was very hard for her to deal with his passing.

She has an adult son who's mentally disabled and living at home. He works, but he isn't really capable of taking care of himself (he's autistic).
I hope and pray she ends up being in the 10% that has isolated fallopian cancer.
