Default Ugh. Allergy attack from Heck!

I cant wait till allergy season is over.

Right now, I'm drowning in goo because of that bad windstorm that hit Omaha 2 or 3 weeks ago. (not a tornado) It had straightline winds that blew up to 125mph+ in some areas of town (my neighborhood was one that got the worst winds)

After the storm was over, a bunch of people in the subdivision decided to dump their storm debris in the park up the street from me. The city had no idea it was there till I called them to complain about not being able to use the park.

They finally got a wood chipper there a couple of days ago...and I can tell they're having a blast chipping wood from all those trees. I felt the allergy attack building the last two days and today it's the worst that I think I've ever been with allergies.

My brain hurts, my nose is just gooey (sorry...TMI?) and I think the allergy is making me feel MS-ish this week. All I want to do is sleep, and everyone in the world wants me to be awake and extremely sleepy and totally exhausted.

All because a bunch of neighbors were too lazy to haul their trees down the street (2 miles away) to get rid of their tree debris at the "official city tree dump site". The smell of the rotting trees is overwhelming, and now that they're chipping it to make it easier to haul it off, the allergies to whatever is in all that wood is trying to kill me.

I cant wait till winter. Most of my allergies will clear up and hopefully I wont have to deal with migraines that are induced by mold and dust and tree pollen.

Mine are acting up too. I just laid some mulch from my tree guy and I thought I was going to fall over when I was done. Talk about a major headache! I hope you get better soon! If you can stand it, try Nasacort spray prescribed by the doctor, it helps.

my head is killing me. The headache is coming from all the pressure in my sinuses...which I think are about to blow the side of my face off.

I sat out in front of the house with my parents for a few minutes because my aunt brought her granddaughter over, and I always have to say hi to my little cousin.

Big mistake. Came inside with more headpain and just moving my head seems to set off the sinus pain. I actually dipped into the allergy medications that I never take because they make my eyes so dry. So far, I dont think the allergy meds are doing a thing for the allergy.

I just cant wait till wintertime. Allergies dont seem to bug me as much then. I'm allergic to dust, so that's probably my worst wintertime allergy. (cleaning people that clean my parent's house dont do the greatest job keeping up with the dust)

I've felt all yucky for the past two days. Not enough energy to go wash my hair. I'm about to take a nap and hope that I'll feel good enough to stand under the shower later on tonight.

Do you think it progressed into a sinus infection? Mine will do that sometimes. Maybe a call into the doctor to get you some antibiotics? You don't want your ms to start acting up and add to the agnony. Ugh

I was starting to think it might have hit sinus infection proportions last night, but this morning, I feel a little better, the pressure in my nose seems to have gone down.

But, I can kind of feel the pressure rising again. I've only been outside once today, and when I came back inside from that, I could tell that I probably should have just stayed in the a/c.

If I start to feel like I did last night, I'm going to go up to the afterhours clinic at my doctor's office and ask for an antibiotic. I can breathe thru my nose today, but it hurts breathing thru one side of my nose...kinda like a burn or something.

Yea, I think it's probably best. Your nose sounds like it's raw from sniffling or blowing. Ouch! I started feeling a sore throat coming on and I hate those especially in the summer.

I get the sore throat too if I'm too congested. This year has been rough. The pollen warning has been high here since March, with no end in sight. Had my first sinus infection and sinus migraine for the first time in a long time this year. No rest for the weary.

Hope you feel better soon, Erin

I think my allergies calmed down a bit today. I felt human enough to go see the new Batman movie. (it was good, but I wouldnt say Heath Ledger did an Oscar-winning performance...but now I see why he was having problems before he died)

I have the sniffles and a cough now, but the horrible pressure that was threatening to crush my skull is gone for the most part now. (yay!)

Allergies really really suck. I think that was almost worse than the bronchitis I had last winter. It was a lot more painful. I thought my brain was going to come squishing out my eye sockets.

I dont think it set off any MS symptoms tho. (double yay!) I was terrified it was going to anger the MS Trolls.

I think the reason the allergies calmed down was that they quit chipping storm debris trees in the park up the street. Think they took the weekend off, because the massive pile of dead trees is still in the park's parking lot. Greeeaaaat...they're probably going to start that up again tomorrow.
