So the Dr. had given me a little slip to get lab work over a year ago.

He asked me WHERE it was. Duh? What lab work?

He wrote another slip, except this time he put it in my chart and told me to come back that same week. Carp! Busted!

I took the bag I usually wear on my head and started to hyperventilate in it!

The blood sucking phlebotomist was mean! They sat me in a chair and put down the shelf and locked me in. She asked me which arm I would prefer. Neither, I said. I found out that neither is not a choice!

Well, how many vials, do you need? 20, 15, 10? I wonder....

Just one is the response as this big freak'n horse needle comes swooping down from no where and jabs the living carp out of my poor little arm.

That's when the beads of sweat start forming on the forehead and flashing stars...and think...think...of something pleasant...

slapping Moi....(sorry little buddy)

She then takes the needle out with a scrape and says...Oh that probably hurt!

Thanks for all the slaps!

Here's hoping I can avoid the lab for awhile. (shutter...shutter)

FG....how do you give 15...20...tubes?

So, you probably would have said no to what my phlebotomist asked last week. She said, "I'm a student, is it ok if I poke you a few hundred times?" LOL, she said she got a few no's.

BTW, you sound like my weanie of a husband so can I slap him instead?

I'm glad it went ok for you!

I sleep through it? Wrong answer huh....

It's for a good cause?

I don't have a choice?

They only stick me once (most times) and just keep drawing the blood out. They just keep changing vials in the vaccutainer tube (or whatever it's called)

I am glad you suffered through it Twerpy. Beats a stick in the eye...oh yeah, had that happen yesterday (it hurts worse! )
