Yeah; I can't bowl anymore either (or turn cartwheels, handstands, jump rope) and other fun stuff I used to be able to do easily.

Now when we bowl with friends I am the cheerleader and everyone has a good laugh at my unique chants...much better than my bowling ever was!

I'm another one who feels your pain.

DH met when we were both bowling the Tournaments, but neither of us can bowl anymore!

We were both quite good in out time, and I always remember the year I took out the top Women's Bowler of the Year award, beating an ex-Ozzie champion! That's the only trophy I never got rid of when DH and I were clearing out all of our trophies.

We have friends that have Wii and bowl with that. At their July 4th party they had a freind there that hadn't bowled in years due to back problems. She was thrilled when she found that she still could do it with the Wii. I just wish it weren't so darned expensive.

I am a Wii bowler baby! Best thing about that is when I am not happy about my score....(I start over again)

I bowl left handed...I bowl right handed. I throw it over my back. (No one gets hurt!) There is other fancy-pancy bowling things you can do to.

So try Nappy's suggestion or try Wii...just try to have fun!

The Wii (pronounced we,) is the fifth home video game console released by Nintendo.

Oh Sally... you would love one!
(Thinking Sal would be like the crossbow training shooting up one!)

Sally, I don't know much about it except you hook it into your TV and there are lots of games to play on it. There is even an excersize pod you can buy. there are sports to play, educational things that your kids don't know they actually learning. I don't know what your expenses are but the basic unit costs like $250.00 and the games are something like $50. I was wanting to get one for the family for Christmas then came this family room remodel that is taking $10,000.

My bowling team really missed me when I quit, as I was the one w/a huge handicap, which means I sucked. (bowlers will know that it had nothing to do w/my physical problems)

My niece has a Wii, but hers is on a 64'' TV. We have a 46'' in the basement, but I don't do the stairs much... SO~ how big of a TV do you need for a Wii, as I'd like to have one, but my LR TV is only a 27''. (in entertainment center that I don't want to replace just yet) We had a blast playing hers when we were in NC.

Oh and Frank, tell Deb~ nice shot!! But, did she ''hover''???? (grin)
