She is 60! DBF was telling me that a week or so ago. We looked it up and it's true. She looks amazing.

Well, Rulon G voluntarily left the show for "personal" reasons. So he just plain QUIT!

I was hoping BL would be between the two sisters -- and they came within 3 lbs. of tying!

And you remember that Olivia won (and kept) that $10,000 prize a couple of weeks ago. So she's gotta lotta $$$$ to spend! Her DH looked great, too. I wanted to hear her sing opera again. Wonder if she's on YouTube?

I watched the BL finale and was impressed with the 2 sisters! I need to go watch the entire season on Hulu this summer.

The voice was good last night. Poor Ce-lo and Adam had hard choices to make between their contestants. Next weeks previews looked fun. I think I like this format for finding new singing stars! At least these pros are actually working with their contestants unlike AI did in previous years. So much talent wasted on that show. I hope some of them find their way to The Voice or X-Factor.

Well we have a winner!!!!! We have had a lot of storms so I wasn't sure whether Fox would carry it or do weather coverage like our local NBC would have. They had a lot of coverage but also respected the show for us. The storm was past Evansville at the end of AI so I was able to see the end. It was very emotional. I also watched weather during all of the special guests.

It was so sweet watching Scotty walk around singing his single, hugging his family and singing at the same time. Then he went on stage and did the same. Then he just collapsed, put his head in his hands like I can't believe tis. The he was a little kid trying to catch the confetti like snow.

I'm happy for the outcome. I think he will make a record with Lauren. They seemed so close and she was go genuinely happy for him. Did anyone see her kissing his face at the end? It was so sweet. Wonder if they will become a couple?

I called it! Knew he'd win. He fulfilled the KrisTY Lee Cook prophecy! It's been a running joke since season 7. Kristy Lee Cook was the 7th place finisher in season 7. Look at her name... David Cook won in season 7. Kris Allen in season 8 and Lee Dewyze in season 9. ScottTY finished the run. Hopefully the curse of white guys with guitars is broken and a girl can win again. Yeah this crap is on all the Idol fan forums. But, boy what a coincidence!

I think Lauren and Scotty will do well. It's country music and country fans tend to buy a lot of it. I just hope they keep it young and fresh and grow into the music as they get life experiences.

As for the rest of the show... Not totally my cup of tea. I enjoyed Kirk Franklin, Tim and Carrie. It was surprising to see Tony Bennett and Tom Jones. Loved the Haley/Tony duet. I muted the rest of the performances. Was sad to see they didn't even acknowledge Lee.. just a couple of screen shots when Ryan was standing in front of him.

This was finally a season that I was excited about the finale. I enjoyed watching James Durbin sing with whoever that was, he seemed to fit right in, Casey and Jack Black - they are both equally crazy, Lauren and Carrie, Scotty and his idol. They seem to be able to sing with the best unless they do something to the mikes to make it sound that way. I wonder what these tried and true music leaders think of our young kids.

James performed with Judas Priest.. the 80's iconic metal band. It's his niche. I think Carrie dialed back her powerhouse voice so she didn't push Lauren too much because of her vocal cord issue. Tim and Scotty sounded great together. Says a lot for Tim to agree to do the song with Scotty.

Scotty's song on Itunes.. has hit #1! This afternoon it bumped Lady Gaga out of the slot she has held for a few weeks to #4. Also pushed Adele's song down a bit. Lauren's song is now at #2! Good for them!

I'm protesting against So you think you can Dance... Uncle Nigel is being a butt on twitter. He's baiting Lee fans and some are falling for it hook line and sinker. Makes Lee look bad and that's what N wants. That way he never has to ask him back to Idol. Hollyweird living up to it's name, I guess.
