I've been sick for the past week to 10 days with a nasty chest infection. It started with a Strep throat which spread to a chest infection and once again I lost my voice from laryngitis. That's twice in the past few months that I've had a virus like this and lost my voice.
I was on 2 different types of antibiotics this time; one for the strep in my throat, and one for the chest infection. Yesterday I finished the antibiotics and my chest really does feel a whole heap better.....the only trouble now is that I feel like I've been hit by a steam train! If not a train then a ton of bricks! The fatigue has hit me and I just cannot stay awake. Every afternoon I collapse and sleep for at least two hours. I haven't felt this washed out since I had the hemicolectoy last September. I daresay it's the after effects of the virus and ensuing chest infection that I had, but gee wizz! It sure aint nice!
