I'm so sorry, Anne . When dh, I and sons were moving a 1000 miles away from our families three years ago my brother and sil kept me from having a last visit with my nephew by making excuses that they didn't have time. . I was devestated. I even tried to get my brother to allow my sister to bring my nephew to our farewell but at the last minute he was unavailable. Since our mom passed away everything has changed . We have discussed our past differences and have decided to never allow this type of thing to happen ever again. Adults need to realize that it is WRONG to involve children in these matters. Life is too short to let pettiness or perceived slights get in the way. Perhaps your dh needs to have a heart to heart conversation with your son to let him know that things can't go on like this. It's not only hurting you but poor William is truly being used as a pawn. It just makes me so sad. I'm thinking about you Anne and hope that this is resolved sooner rather than later.
