Default Do you look in the medicine cabinet in other peoples homes?

The TP thread got me thinking. Some people are in there a long time, and it makes ya wonder what they are up to.

Do you open and look at the things in other peoples medicine cabinets when at their homes? visits? parties? strangers or just cause?

I don't but my BIL has his med chest rigged so when you open it the radio plays REAL loud (he's an electrician) and his first "victim" was his own sister. She said she was looking for aspirin for her headache. LOL

There was a mom of one of my children['s friends who always took so
much time in the bathroom at everyones houses. Come to find out
she stole drugs from me twice.

Now we all know what she was looking for. Sad part is she lost evry thing.
kids, house , job and she is in a residential treatment facility now.

Nope, I never look. If I want some tylenol..........I ask.

put something in there that will fall out and make noise if they open it.

my x's family were the worst. they would open dresser drawers, closets, you name it. noisy people.

maybe that's why i am so **** about keeping those areas organized.

Yeah, I do it. I do it to see if other's medicine cabinets look like a pharmacy like mine does . I expect that people do the same at my house. I've taped a smiley face on the inside of the door that says 'Hi !'. I must be a nut, huh? I do feel guilty though. .

I dont keep my real meds in the medicine cabinet, you are not supposed to. its hot and humid in there, and causes meds to degrade.

btw, if my sister is coming invest in locks! she is a pill popping nut job, and will search your sock drawers looking for extra pills if she thinks you are distracted. When she has come to my home in the past, I LOCK all my meds, including ones I am not using currently, into the safe. along with the spare checks, and hide the financial papers with ANY account numbers on um.

Dejibo: What a shame to have to lock everything up if your sister visits. I've known people who had to lock or hide their liquor if a certain relative visits because this person would drink after everyone else went to bed. How sad.

I don't go into other people's medicine cabinets, closets, etc. I wouldn't want anyone snooping in mine, either.

If I need something, I'll ask. I don't like to look through other people's stuff.

I keep RX meds in a lock box. OTC meds are in another cabinet, not in the bathroom. And funny, I have a huge *medicine* cabinet in the bathroom but if there's any med in there it's because one of us if currently using it, so it's easy to find - usually some cold stuff or Tums.

The thing is packed with shaving supplies, hair products and a zillion deodorants.

Now ya don't have to peek cuz you know.

I started locking stuff up not because anything was stolen, but because my kids friends were all *that age*. It was a preventative measure. Some of this stuff is dangerous and I didn't want the little stoopids to hurt themselves. I continue doing it with a tot in the house.

I don't care if anyone goes in my bathroom cupboards, and expect that some people do. Maybe they need a tampon, deoderant, contact drops, bandaide or some TP . . . and I have needed the same at people's houses before too.

(I have no desire to go "snooping" though, just "peeking" for something that I needed ... and I've always told the person that I took it).

I don't keep my medicine in my bathroom, not even aspirin.
