Default Not a clue what to put for a title

So, I have come to the conclusion I am not very good at being objective or helpful on forums.

Plus, since I am dealing with a very large issue of anxiety and panic attacks I think the meds or just the combination are messing with my ability to be helpful AND nice ......really, I am a nice person but not at the moment

I'm using Buspar (15mg 3x a day). Klonopin...well it depends, My rx is for 1mg 2x a day but I have used as much as 1mg 5x a day. Today I've only had 1mg 4x . My doctor is aware of the extra I am using and will increase my rx if needed.

I'm now volunteering 2 days a week at the Animal Shelter doing administrative duties but of course I do end up in the kennel areas.....this could get dangerous for me. I love animals. There is a mastiff who is about 9 months old I have my eye on but, 2 people already have a hold on her....she is on meds and is not adoptable at the moment. I am very much enjoying working there and it has helped take my mind off other things.

well dang it! I think I actually have some humor in this post which is a good sign but then again it could just be the Klonopin

Ever feel like the old saying....stop the world and let me get off.

But, life goes on.

well, Snoopy, as you may have noticed, I have over 1,900 posts, but have only *started* about 3 topics of my own, in the last year.

that's because I like to add my two bits, but am not usually a conversation starter, because I can't think of good titles.

like you, I have anxiety issues, and use Ativan, on an as-needed basis, maybe once or twice a week.

working with animals is my main joy in life, and I have a whole bunch of them on my farm, turkeys (13), geese (6), ducks (153), chickens (72), goats (5),a pig, rabbits (5), and guinea pigs (22).

it soothes my soul to watch them, feed them, and care for them.

I've found that the more time I spend with my animals, the LESS meds I need.

Watch out for those Mastiff puppies, they're manipulative. If you look into it's eyes too long, you'll suddenly wonder why you're at Petsmart, loading up on Puppy Chow and chew toys, with a Mastiff puppy on a leash next to you, digging thru the squeaky toy aisle, looking for an extra loud squeaky ball.

Hi LeeAnn,
I like your posts. Even when our opinions have differed I think your replies are well thought out and worth consideration. Please continue contributing.

Definitely keep us posted on the puppy. Mastiffs are the absolute best but can be very expensive. Not just the large amount of food but any time they need veterinary care it is a fortune. I once spent $900 on an injectable antibiotic and my girl also had double knee replacement surgery. Sadly my latest rescue is dysplastic and will probably have to have her hips done. Worth every penny though if you can afford it. Can you post a pic?

howdy howdy Snoopy

I dont think you are counterproductive, so dont be harsh on yourself, numbers dont always tell the facts, like mine most are just replys and a lot of those, about 40-50% are in the game forums. I only have 82 threads started and again a number of those have been in games or creative corner, so lol just kidding here, your not the only one slacking off here, seriously, 10000 post and 82 threads, now IM bummed lol Just funnin with you. your fine Leeann, dont forget we are all here for each other and on occasion we need a helping hand

try to take it easy, dont sweat it, if you can. I know anxiety, can really get the best of someone. Glad the job is helping you and helping you redirect your energies
.................

I had to leave my job at a dogday care because I was outside with lots and lots of dogs at once and I couldn't handle it with my panic and anxiety. I like singular dogs, or my own pes but 30+ dogs at once not so much.
please keep us posted on the mastiff theyre so darn cutee

Oh, Snoopers Poopers, Ya know, I loves ya..no matter what mood yer in..

I adored Buspar, when I used it....Warning, it doesn't last, it stopped working and I had to go to Paxil, which I also adored. I hear you on the anxiety and panic attacks....been there and back and there and back again. Buspar then Paxil were good meds for my anxiety and PAs..

Feel better and don't worry about nuttin....just keep coming in and talking to us...if'n ya feel like it.

Snoop, I know just how you feel...especially that "not very good at being objective or helpful on forums" bit.

I'm not in the same boat symptom wise, but cog fog and confusion slow my ability to respond at times. Trying to organize the thoughts in my head and translate to the page can be a challenge most days.

Soooo I lurk and linger... prayer or send positive thoughts for those that need it. Some days the shenanigans on the board give me a good chuckle for the day. I try to participate but it usually doesn't make sense and I just delete and move on.

hope you feel better soon!

Don't be so hard on yourself, Snoop..You do contribute and your opinions are helpfull..What would be the point of asking people's opinions if we all agreed? And you ARE "nice"..Just don't overdo it.."Nice" is overrated..
