1 bunch of green onion
1tbs mayonaise
1tbs of lemon juice
Ritz crackers

Chop or cut the corned beef and green onion into small pieces. Mix into cream cheese. Add mayo and lemon juice and mix well. Serve with Ritz crackers or cracker of choice.

This is a very good dip and makes a great presentation for the holidays with it's green, red and white colors. I usually let it sit in the fridge overnight to let the flavors mix well.

I'm going to try this.....it sounds really yummy and just like something my boys would eat.

I'd think you could also do the same thing with other types of meat, too, like ham. Have you ever tried it with the Veggie cream cheese?

Thanks!

No I haven't tried veggie cream cheese but I bet it would be good. Sometimes, depending on how many people will be around I double up the batch. I also have to set some aside for my boys. haha

I have tried regular beef in the recipe but I prefer the cornbeef. It's not overwhelming either so that's good. Let me know how the ham or veggie cream cheese tastes.

Feel free to tinker with the amounts. I tend to throw things in a Pam sprayed casserole dish, warm it in the oven and be done with it, lol.

Hot Crab Dip

1 pound picked blue crab meat (can use canned if you absolutely have to and/or add 1/2 pound of chopped cooked shimp)

1 block cream cheese

8 oz shredded cheddar cheese, if desired

1/3 cup minced onion

Dash milk of needed

Salt, pepper and lots of Old Bay seasoning to taste

Mix together softly to keep crab pieces intact if possible. Heat in oven 350 aprox 30 minutes util bubbly. Serve warm with bread or crackers.

**Can hold Old Bay and instead add 3 tbs. cooking sherry and top with sliced almonds for those more sophisticated shindigs. Either way it is delicious.

Doyd~ I have to make that exact same salad every yr. I call it Orange Fluff and it's easy and really good. I've also used lime or cherry jello when in a pinch.

Gonna try those pecan logs Kell.

Sandy~ I make a similar dip, but used dried beef. It's always a crowd pleaser and keeps well.

1 large box instant orange jello
1 small can crushed pinapple, drained
1 small can mandarin oranges, drained
1 medium small curd cottage cheese
1 meium tub cool whip

Just mix it up together and refrigerate for about an hour.

I have substituted starwberry jello and fresh strawberries in this but the acid inthe strawberries turns the salad into liquid if not eaten quickly.

Like I said, I am tried of it but the family has to have it and it isn't expensive at all and very quick to make. I save the drained fruit juce and drink it the next morning when I'm dead tired.
I do something similar too. I use cut up very well drained pineapples and pears and use half juice and half water for the jello. I cool the jello in the fridge until it is soft set and then mix in the fruit and cool whip. Lately I am just using fat free cool whip and omitting the cottage cheese. It still tastes good.

ADD ON: I forgot to add I use Lime jello in my recipe.

I make a dish with the Thanksgiving leftovers.

Take a buttered glass oven safe dish.

Layer in

left over turkey, then left over gravy, then left over stuffing, then left over cranberry sauce, then left over mashed potatoes. Stuff in a 350 degree oven for about an hour. Put a cookie sheet under it, cause its gonna bubble over. it is AMAZING! You can substitue chicken instead of turkey.

its a fav at pot lucks or church suppers. easy!
