Default yes I know it's 3:45 AM here. But I am so excited i have to share!

The steroids are working!!!!

The headache is gone and I can feel parts of my stomach and legs!

And my left arm even though it's tingling I can feel myself touching it!

And the bottom of my right foot which means I can go pick up my car from the doctors office (where I left it yesterday) I think while I am there I am going to run in and give the doc a big ole sloppy kiss!

I don't know if this discovery is why I am WIDE AWAKE or if it is a side effect of the steroids mixed with the zoloft, but I don't care I can feel!

Finally some good news and this is after only one treatment. I am hopeful it doesn't wear off.

Oh and another note for those of you who may have to take the steroids with the disgusting flavor . I found a loophole in the water thing.I remembered last night I have some water flavor crystals that I rarely use they are kind of wet and clump together but dissolve easily.

It's call True Lime which is a very strong flavoring. I usually only use about 1 packet for 32 oz of water. Last night I discovered if I use one packet in a 20 oz cup it overrides the taste in my mouth and the water is good! I also tried the orange one that worked like a charm but the lemon wasn't so great at masking the IVSM taste.

I had bought this stuff to drink at work to keep me from drinking so much soda and it's 0 calories and 0 sugar and 0 carbs with a boost of vitamin C.

Ok I am attempting to go back to bed now. Good night all!

Take the steroids with applesauce. It helps a little bit.

and YAY!!!!! that they're working!

I'm about to go raid my mom's stash of a medrol dose pack, and her leftover bottle of prednisone. My leg started burning a little worse tonight.

I have 4 more days of the IVSM then the dose pack. Although I hate taking meds this is totally worth it!

I am sorry your burning is back I know that miserable feeling. It sucks. I have been so frustrated with my legs. It's kind of funny feeling now it's coming back in splotches but it started out in splotches too and I will take what I can get.

Right now, the burning is at the "sorta strangely comfortable" point, but seems like it could easily get a lot warmer.

My mom is taking steroids for an allergy problem, and they've changed her meds a couple of times, so she has all these leftover steroids. I'm so tempted to dip into her stash. I did tell my parents to save them for me if I ever needed them.

Hopefully you get all the good stuff back, and all the icky MS carp goes away for a loooong time!

leggs,Thought I was the only one up due to IVSM...* just finished the last of my 3 IVS today, and now I'm going on prednisone taper orally...that taste from the IV helped me eat a lot less!!
I feel so good now...the pain and stiffness have disappeared...so nice to walk like a middle-aged gal instead of an 80 yr. old...
I'm scheduled to go on Copaxone after the pred taper...we'll see how that works to ease things...
hope you continue to improve...good luck!

thanks you guys! ok so the headache is back, but it's not making me want to throw up it's more of a pounding the pressure isn't nearly as bad.

I walked into my hallway this morning and started crying. My fiance thinks I am nuts. it's the first time I have felt the carpet under my right foot in over 2 months it's amazing what little victories will do.

And deb, seriously get the true lime! I have discovered the headaches ease up when i pump my body full of water.

Make sure you eat with the oral pred's. They'll tear a hole in your stomach if you don't. I take over the counter prilosec with them. The food is kind of a like more meds because you don't want to eat (at least I didn't) but you have to force it down. I also found the lower dose but oral ingestion gave me more trouble sleeping. You'll have oddles of energy but it's fake and when they wear off, if you're not careful how much activity you partake in, it'll royally kick your butt. Just the things I have found, they may be different for different people.
