Smile Hope all are enjoying the long weekend!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and is enjoying their weekend! We had a lovely Thanksgiving and a good bit of left overs I'm just constantly picking at. I must say though, I think I've had my fill of green bean casserole, cranberry stuffing and pumpkin pie until this time next year! LOL Yesterday a friend of mine from college came down to visit me with her husband and son. Zach is two and this is the first time I've gotten to actually see him and talk to him outside of a computer/webcam! It was so surreal to see this little man running around my house, he's this active little carbon copy of his mother! It was just so gratifying see my friend in action as this amazing mom! She was just glowing, very much in her element. It's sad in a way how she and I saw each other nearly everyday for 4 years through college, then, you graduate, and her life took her to Connecticut and myself back home to central Pa. We of course IM and email all the time, (I'm not a phone person, never was, even as a teenage girl. I just don't like being attached to a phone) I'll tell you though, modern technology is amazing, and I'd certainly rather be with it than without it. Nothing but nothing though, can compare with being able to hug and laugh and even just sit in silence watching a fav. movie or something with our loved ones! I'm not really sure why I'm posting all this, I have no real point, it has just been a lovely holiday weekend! Of course today I can barely stand and brush my teeth without my legs folding under me, but it was worth it! Like our dear AMN has pointed out in her siggy line "for every dayI want to play I set aside a day to pay!"

Love You All!!
JS

I'm so glad you had such a nice Thanksgiving....and got to see your friend and her family, too! We had way too much food and I ate too much (as usual) but it's the only time of the year that I can eat Green Bean Casserole for breakfast and not feel like a total freak!!

I hope those of you who didn't get a long weekend get to have a break soon! I'm sure greatly deserved and feels long overdue, huh?! I'm glad everyone is doing so well and enjoyed the holiday though!

Hi JessieSue,
I'm sure you know this but I wanted to share with everyone that your dear Rob Thomas and his wife are big supporters of animal charities. Love that in a person.

Hi Jess - I know just what you mean. I got to spend a couple of days with DBF's neices & nephews - It was great to have them running around playing & getting hugs. But, I have to admit it was so nice to come home to my quiet dogs too!

Glad you had such a great time! Rest my friend.
