I wonder how it is that y'all are so comfortable giving out your addresses to mostly strangers, when it comes to sending cards and postcards?

I have been stalked around the net before, by someone who seemed the "least likely person" to do such a thing, so I don't give my address or personal information to ANYONE!

I guess I just figure if anyone wants to take the time to stalk me (nothing exciting going on here to even want to stalk!!) then they're more bored than I am!

Seriously, though....I've met some of the most wonderful people here and some of my best friends!

I know that 99% of the people are genuine, and I am the one who misses out by being so paranoid about it. Unfortunately once burned though . . .

I have met many people from the internet, and do have many friends I've met this way. I don't mind meeting other's in "their" environment, but I know I am safe with private information. I just don't like giving out mine.

Cherie,

I totally understand what you are saying and I am so sorry to hear that you got stalked via the internet . I can see why you wouldn't want to give out any of your personal information after that.

Before I give ANYONE my address, I ALWAYS check with my mum and she will then look through the posts just to make sure nothing has been happening that she should be worried about. She checks what I write on the forums every day so she can usually spot who I shouldn't give any information out to.

So far, every one that I have given my address to have all being really lovely and sweet but I will always make sure I check things carefully before giving out any personal information and I most certainly wouldn't do it without speaking to my mum first. It's better to be safe rather than sorry...!

If anyone would try to stalk us, we have a double barrel shotgun, .32 pistol and a sword waiting for them. I am sure they would love to meet each other. Jim and I know how to use all three very well.

Wow, that was a downer. lol
