Hey B2Y!
Can I "borrow" Bob for a few weeks? I'd just like him to do some "on the job training" with Chris! Seriously, he sounds like a "keeper" and you are lucky to have him! I hope things smooth out for you soon!

Believe me, I'm keeping him. When his Routine starts to drive me nuts (he does the cat boxes at 3:00 sharp), I smack myself in the head and say, "Hello? He does housework, ADAPT!"
I asked him how long I could be retired before I had to start doing housework again, and he said (are you ready?) "I don't want you to do housework, I want you to feel better."

your hubby sounds like a sweety, and a keeper.
how wonderful of him to do so much, and to want you to feel well.

I think you are one lucky person. Give yourself time. It will be fine.

My DH will be retiring spring 2010 and I dread it. He always wants to be on the go, hates to eat at home and wants to travel, travel and travel some more. He isn't the easiest person to travel with. I hope he mellows with age. As far as knowing what day it is, I just look at the newspaper, it's right at the top of the page!

Is your DH former military, B2Y? He sounds absolutely wonderful.....like you said, I'd find a way to ADAPT 'cos you won't find another like him in this lifetime!! Heck, he could change the cat box at 3 AM if he wanted to....just as long as he changed it!!
It sounds like you're doing just fine.

Well, he was in the army back in the day, but mostly he is a former farmer. He farmed his whole life, and when you're milking cows you HAVE to be on a schedule. Plus I think he's just that way by nature.
I'm a procrastinator, and someone who'll have six different projects going at once and never get any of them done. Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? Bob, however, is running the dishwater before I'm finished eating. "Are you done with your plate?"

I don't think the emotion hit me until I got the stamp of "fully disabled", from the government and disability company.
"Yep, you're done, and we aren't even going to try to argue with you", it said. Then I moved on and have never looked back. Cherie
