I'm sorry to hear your Mom is in the hospital, Tom, and glad to hear she is doing o.k.

Imagine the history you could learn just sitting in that room listening to them talk?

Thanks for the date/time for the shuttle! I marked it on every calendar I look at daily to keep it in my head!

As for the octuplets, I am happy that they are alive and well.

One thing people need to remember is that with IVF, a number of embryos are usually implanted. More often than not, most of them do not take. The parent(s) is/are always given the option of reducing the number of embryos to try to ensure that at least one is carried to term. Most choose not to do that. Even then many do not make it to term.

This woman has had SIX previous IVFs and was thinking ONE baby, since the previous six IVFs had each resulted in one baby, regardless of how many embryos were implanted. Even after seven were found on ultrasound, there was no guarantee that all of them would make it. They all did. So did the "hidden" one.
Six were implanted and two split, resulting in two sets of identical twins among the eight born.

It's our duty to see that these children are loved, clothed and fed. It is not our duty to subsidize her for being their biological Mother.. She needs to get herself to work but that will never happen now..

Vacuums really Suck Tom..

Well wishes for you DMother..

She already had a set of twins.

So far the genetic testing results haven't been published to confirm her statement that 2 of the eggs this time split.

Oy..gives ya a headache.
