This kind of reminds me of the fighting with my ex. He feels it's unfair her has to drive to my house to pick up and bring DD back. (even though the court order clearly states he is responsible for transportation to and from his visitation) I normally try to drop her off for him to save him the trip. Now that I cannot see/feel to drive, he gets an attitude. Then follows it with

"well, you don't look sick". I laughed and told him he doesn't look like an insensitive moron, but we all know better. Looks can be deceiving. It's true you really can't fix stupid.

I want you all to know I was 14 at the time. My brother was 18 and was home from school and took me out to eat for the very first time on his dime. We were having such a good time and I just couldn't stand that guy making fun of him, even if my brother couldn't see him or may not have known he was doing it.

I KNEW what he was doing. My brother wasn't happy with me when I told him what I did. He told me to just walk away next time and that there will always be people like that in this world, and that we just have to put up with them.

(I still liked sticking the guy with the fork!)

That's just terrible River making fun of your brother. I try not to be a mean person because I wouldn't want to be treated that way. But being new to this MS thing, and feeling so overwhelmed by it all, it just struck a nerve, albeit the wrong nerve. I should have said something.

Today I'm going back there on my lunch, she's there all the time. I have a button that the nurse gave me at my NS's office. I'll wear it and walk right by her, with my head held up high.
