Default Has Your Favorite Day Changed?

I was just thinking, what a nice weekend I've had, but am sooo looking forward to Monday..

Mondays used to be against my religion..LOL!
Saturdays were my favorite day, when I was a young working girl and also when I was a young married Mom.

I'm not sure when my favorite day changed to Monday, but I like it when everything gets back to normal....like TV shows, people getting back to work, Kids back in school and, for me now, sleeping in..haha!

Has your favorite day changed since getting older and less active?

I love weekdays, too. Like you said....everything gets back to "normal".

I'm not sure I have a favorite weekday. If I did it'd probably have to be Monday......since I get my solitude back then!

Thought-provoking question! For the last several years I worked full-time and, though I didn't realize it for a long time, was slowly getting "sicker".

During that time, I didn't HAVE a favorite day. Monday through Friday I worked, Saturday I tried to get housework and shopping done, and then Sunday afternoon I started fretting about the week-end being over, not having anything accomplished, and having to go back to work on Monday.

And now that I'm retired, I STILL don't have a favorite day. There's something good (or not) about them all.

How's THAT for a non-answer? Have a happy Monday, Sally.

When I worked Saturday was my favorite day. I'd have to say Sunday is my favorite now. There's something about sleeping in, having a nice breakfast (cooked by DH!) with all of us together, and enjoying coffee while I read the Sunday paper.

Monday! Everyone is back to school or work. On weekends it's hard to rest. DH takes me out, I eat junk, kids go out nights, come home late and wake me to tell me, as required so I can check time of return. I get to shower (Need DH to help transfer me from chair to seat) and feel rushed in everything. It's my time to get DH to do certain stuff and sometimes it's stuff he doesn't care about (new wicker porch furniture cushions to replace what dog chewed)or stuff only I care about (new cushions for wicker porch furniture that dog chewed and the stuffing is all over. No, I don't think that was cute.) I kind of like weekend but love the quiet of the week until kids' return at 2:30.

I like mondays too. I really thought that I would hate being alone after
being home with children for 19 years. I was wrong, I kinda love it!!!

My favorite day of the week has not changed.

Friday is and has always been my favorite. End of the week, time to relax and not care if I have a house full of kids/teens or if anyone gets hungry - order pizza.

I would say I am very laid back come Friday

When I worked, I had a rotating shift, so I had some weekends off, and some weekdays, but I was on second shift mostly, so I had my day times free to shop, or play or go to appointments.

Once I started getting sick I HATED having the weekends off. Everyone wanted to invite me everywhere, to do everything, and I was just tired. If I had a weekday off, most others were working, and would let me veg out, and be a couch potato.

Now that I am fully retired i HATE using the stores, or facing the crowds that congregate in the city places on the weekends. its like every motherless child there is wanders the stores on the weekend. If you go to see a new video game display, you have to wade through kids to do it. You wait in line at the check out, and forget the grocery store, you have to be plain crazy to shop on a weekend. During the week days, the stores are almost vacant, the kids are in school, dads are at work, moms are at work, or at home. Now we sit at home on the weekends, and hope for them to pass quickly so we can get back to some peaceful activities.

once monday rolls around we breathe a sigh of relief, and are happy to leave the house again. TV returns to better shows (although I like fox sunday).

After working 2nd shift I would grocery shop at 2am when the place was deserted. In my 20s I could deal with crowds. with MS, forgettaboutit. not happening.
