Another good thread
Sight - The sight of my roses as their blooms first pop through the buds to signal that spring is here, and we survived a long hard winter. Sound- the sound of rain on a tin roof in a hot summer. you just know its bringing a cool breeze with it. Touch- The touch of my husbands hand against my back, just to show he loves me, when I am having a tough day. no words, just a firm show of love. Taste- The taste of butter pecan ice cream sliding off my sugar cone at the local ice cream stand. ice cream always tastes better when eaten in the hot summer sun. Smell- The smell of the earth after a short summer rain has washed away the heat. That musk of mother earth, and the damp soil rising through the air. That or the smell of an approaching storm. The ions gong crazy in the air, and the breeze picks up. "a storm is coming" is what momma would say. "i can smell it."

1. The sight of mountains layered with fog.
2. The sound of my grandson's laughter. 3. The touch of Montana's coat when I brush him. 4. The taste of ice-cold grapefruit juice mixed with sparkling seltzer. 5. The smell of fresh-cut grass.

The words to the song "I believe", sums it up for me, I think.....
"Every time I hear a newborn baby cry, Or touch a leaf, or see the sky, Then I know why, I believe."

The sight of many friends in a group.
The sound of kids playing. The feel of being in a body of water, whether lake, ocean, river. The taste of cold beer on a hot day. The scent of a campfire.

Sight - sun setting over the Gulf of Mexico as seen from Treasure Island
Sound - well, the first thing that came to mind is chiller 48-2 running and not surging but that's a stupid thing to think about so I'll defer to birds chirping, although I hate they crap all over every thing... Touch - I miss Bear, my cat... Taste - beer? Reese's peanut butter cups? I don't know... Smell - When the peach trees are blooming Tom |
