Thanks so much for the birthday acknowledgement, Lady, and for the well-wishes Friend, Cindy, Barb, Dejibo, Wiz, Ali, Azoyizes, Kelly and Sally.
I went down to the US for Saturday night, had a nice dinner and watched the sunset on the beach. I came home to a party that a friend had for both of our birthday's, and stuffed myself with homemade perogies and cabbage rolls. I couldn't believe he cooked all that in the 94 degree temps that we've been having! My girlfriends (from when we were teenagers) and I all turned 50 this year, and I was the last birthday amungst us. Being the youngest wasn't so great when we were waiting to reach legal age to drink . . . but I got my payback when I was the "baby" and was the last to turn 50 this year. We sent each other those lawn displays, with pelicans and a HUGE sign wishing a Happy 50th. I sent the last friend dinosaurs though, and her payback was to send a huge 12ft "buzzard" sign, with 50 buzzards, a cow and a pig. I was suitably embarrassed ALL day yesterday. The funny thing was that I definitely should have expected to get something on my lawn, but it did not occur to me at all until I walked out my front door yesterday and saw them. Those guys are like little fairies; not even my dog heard them set up the display. I was also sent a Vermont teddy bear, a dozen red roses, and later a my daughter's boyfriend's family brought me a dozen long stemmed white roses. I had dinner with my girls, have another nice dinner planned for Wed night, and my sisters are coming in town for another birthday dinner on Sat night. So, this is the birthday that never ends ... It's been a great one, as far as 50th's go. Thanks for the kind birthday wishes. Cherie

Thanks so much, Jo, DM, RW, Yeahbut, Friend, Shelley, Agate and Taffy!
I have been, Ssoo... busy this last week, which I guess is a good thing so that I am not dwelling on the big 5-0 too much. I don't like my age any more. I had a beautiful steak dinner; my first beef since probably last birthday. I can't do dairy, so I really, really enjoy it when I just say "to heck with it!". I'm going to the best seafood restaurant around this weekend . . . but then the birthday is done. It's been fun though. Thanks again. Cherie
