Funny, they call catfish "cats" and people still fry 'em and eat 'em.

And what about fish/kittens that don't live in the sea? Such as brookies and rainbows? Do we have to call them river kittens or lake kittens? Brook puppies? The mind boggles.

I don't care for fish so Nemo is safe with me. Fish eat each other - what are they gonna do about that? Put guards out at sea?

There are no kittens in the sea. Charlie the Tuna, yes (Why did he want to be chosen to be eaten?), kittens no.

Maybe PETA is bored, trying to amuse themselves and yanking our chains?

We had a run in with PETA once.
Here in Maine we have a Lobster Festival every year.
They came and demonstrated about boiling lobsters live.
They wanted the festival to kill them first so they wouldn't feel pain.

I'm of the "head first and slam on the lid" clan. It just seemed sort of funny that their goal was to get the festival to kill them first! Is that ethical?

( O o...Don't they know that the lobster meat gets all gummy and nasty when they are dead before cooking??)

Wow! You ate monkey? So what did it taste like?

You call a fish by any other name...but isn't a rainbow trout or a steelhead salmon, still a rainbow trout and a steelhead salmon?

PETA is ridiculous. I love animals, but eating them makes me very happy too. PETA is "humane" enough to want to call fish kittens, but they don't hesitate to dump paint or flour or cruel insults on humans when they wish.

I do catch spiders in my house and take them outside, because they're not hurting anyone, and they do this world a great service!! But if I see an ant in my kitchen, or a fly is buzzing around my head, I will not hesitate to kill them. When I first saw Obama swatting the fly, my first thought was PETA. I wondered if they'd say anything, but I was actually surprised that they did. I guess I'm naive. It's a freaking fly, and I wish I had Obama's skills in killing flies so quickly. I'm totally jealous.

It's not our fault that we're on top of the food chain!
