I have had my will and stuff done since about 95. Not that I have much but I don't want my relatives fighting over it. I want to be cremated and ashes scattered off the dock of my parents summer home in WI.
Also, NO autopsy, I watched one of those as a police cadet and it freaked me out too badly. My parents gathered us about 10 years ago and explained to us what to do for them. They bought long term care insurance last year to pay for a nursing home or such if they ever need it.

I used to think an autopsy would be a pretty big insult too. But after watching a lot of *Dr G*, I guess if the right person did it, it wouldn't be bad.
When I had that accident at 17, all I remember was looking down at my body laying in the street, feeling so disconnected. No pain, no fear, nothing. Well, I was angry they were cutting off my new leather jacket, but that's all. I'm not saying it was one of those *near death experiences*. I don't know what it was. Maybe it was just the bump on the head. Just saying I imagine death to be like that, if your spirit remains after, that you are aware but disconnected from your body. No pain, no worries. I imagine not being too concerned what happens to my flesh and bones post mortem, feeling at peace and just being able to watch with interest whether my ashes are scattered or my casket is lowered. I just want, above all, to leave them with some things to laugh about.
