Default Today I

wish a good start in a new week to all readers!

The wedding of my cousin on friday was a full catastrophy: in the night from thursday to friday I woke up with a mega big migrain and at 03.45 in the morning I took three meds and I was dizzy but still in pain when I got up in the morning.
We missed the train (was to 30% my fault because I was so slow..), the next train was 30minutes delayed, then the underground was stopped because of a technical problem.....we hurried in the hotel to change clothes and we arrived at the church 10 minutes before the final amen. +embarrassing+

I am still in TOS pain and I am really happy that I can start with the cure on september 19th. I will be far away from all and everything for three weeks and I will receive a lot of therapies and dinner will be served and the room cleaned up everyday - as in a hotel. It sounds like holidays and I hope it will be like.

I want to say to all here in this thread:
I hope you are fine and feel better!

All the best and nice greeting
Barbara

Default Happy Holiday

Hi Trix,
I think it is the different language words, Barb;s is working toward getting better the word "cure" "fix" "better" "relief". Treatments to help, I bet.

barb, so sorry to hear about the folly, but gal, to be hurtiing like you and even attempt to make the church is a wonderful try.. Did they have a reception you could relax at. Often when traveling and not a immedicate family member here in the states people opt to go to the reception fowlling the ceramony and they are folks without pain issues.

I hope that you feel better today and find relief in the treatments to come.

To everyone, Happy Labor Day long weekend. I put in time last week to go with the kids out of town this weekend. Back late last night and beat with tons of house work today to do.

Appointments tomorrow, eye, attorney, doctor.....Busy week, My son has an IME again... Just wraped up De's case and now they are staring with the son.
He has not filed for soc sec and has been off work since 2001, he had work hardening and return to work once but ended up with a fracture in the facet joint of spine from lifting a passanger. His weight restrictions form comp said he coould lift with assistance, well he couldn't.

So really busy week.
Be as well as can be,
Di

Default Today I..

am sorry that I use the word "cure" - but I want to explain what this means:
this is in a health ressort and you have to send a demand with your doctor to the "prevention center" of the social security and they allow you to go there.
There is a amount of ca. 250€ to pay for the 3 weeks and the rest takes the social security and I will have a single room, all meals and the treatments during 22 days.
For those who want to see where I will be (if you click on the english flag you can read the page in english):http://www.kurbad-althofen.at
I have already been there and I was so satisfied and relaxed when I came back home.

I wish you all a good day!
Very nice greetings from Austria!
Barbara

am happy to be catching up with some of my favorite people! Mark, I completely agree about Dr Togut! Just wish we could make him 20 years younger and clone him so one could have an office near me! Hate it that I only get to see him every 12-18 months

RSD is the same as CRPS, but CRPS is the newer term, stands for complex regional pain syndrome. Type 1 is the old RSD, type 2 is what was called causalgia, or RSD due to nerve damage. A lot of Drs still use the RSD term, but they are the same.

Schwartzman is an expert in this field, and a referral from Dr T will probably get you in to see him fairly soon as they are colleagues, otherwise the wait is something like 2-3 years! He has a lot of experience with TOS patients who develop RSD.

Dawn, that is GREAT news!!

Jo, good luck retreiving your data. I HATE crashes, so time-consuming and v. frustrating!

Wishing everyone low pain and a good night's sleep,
beth
