Default good news and bad news

today i got good and bad news from some bloodwork...

Good news: I am not diabetic...if anything i seem to be a little hypoglycemic...going to look into that some more...

Bed news: Thyroid is wacky...boy anyone who is tired all the time should go get theirs checked. It is pretty easy. Took two tries for me, a few weeks ago i was just a little off but this week I am really really off.

i guess that helps explains why i have been so stinkin tired all the time. Get to start new meds tomorrow, wish me luck!!

Not sure, but numbers were low enough yesterday that I may fail my pre-op appt next week. won't know until at least tuesday

Shelley I have been thinking about you...how are things?

Johanna

I thought maybe your buds nicknamed u that.

Olecyn... here the he beauty of the thread is that you do not have to keep up totally, you can jump in where ever and comment or like I said just at the very end end say hello, vent or just plain share what what is going on in your life... it is good seeing you around !!! Hopefully the pump will let GOOBER know he is not welcome in my body, however sure the evil bastard will stop by for visits!

Barb... that is surely one nasty way to spend the weekend, maybe it will ease off somewhat and you will be able to salvage part of it... I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Vitctoria.... if I may quote "Shelly" Stampede... Yippe Ca YAY! Yeeeeeeee HAAAAAAAA

Johanna... I Hope Everything works out for you ! I know how much you have been looking forward to surgery and the releif that it is about to bring about. Keep us posted... thought and prayers will be with you!!!

Jo... those Vitamins you are speaking of for Barb, she lives over in Austria... wonder if they have outlets over there or ship ??? Though I know form what she says they have some natural meds there that would not be allowed here in the states due to regulations that do wonderous things... doesnt our government always know what is good for our bodies at least the major drug manufacturers???

HAS ANYONE SEEN DABBO AROUND ???

Well hands are getting a bit cold and blue so think I shloud stop now! Hope every one has a good pain free day MARK~n~GOOBER

Default hi

It's just nice, unfortunately, to have people in the same situation to chat with. I had my son's 12'th birthday sleepover last night. Needless to say there was no sleep. The most important part was that he had fun. There are times, as we know, that you suck it up and move forward. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Linda

JoKat- I hope the new meds help and that this doesn't mess up the pre-op for you....
Mark- WOOO!! i'm so glad that SSD was approved and that you're sub- 2 weeks on that pump. what a relief that must be for you.
Shelley - cowboys.... or rednecks? plenty of them down here

Ok... time for me to b&$tch.... I spent 5 hours in the ER today.... Thursday night, I was holding/playing with my 11mo old daughter, and she squirmed, I moved the wrong direction, and immediately knew something wasn't right. I got that dang stabbing feeling back in my shoulderblade. Meds, heat, figured I'd be alright. Friday night, I was lying on the floor, simply moved wrong, and there when my shoulderblade (again). pain levels went right up, fingers were more numb than usual... So saturday, after much debating, I finally went to the ER. I was on the verge of a breakdown (waves of pain that would seriously put me on the verge of tears), my arm was uber-sensitive, and my hand was all sort of clammy. After waiting 3.5 hrs, the doc asks whats wrong, so I started to tell him. No joke he says "So just WHY did you come here today." I wanted to smack him. I explained to him (again) my problems, and what we have been doing to treat them. He looked at me like i was a freakin addict who was just looking for meds. This, after I clearly told him I was under the treatment of a Pain Mgmt doc. Then he told me that my chart said I was taking Lyrica. I politely suggested that he make sure it didn't say that, since I'm allergic to it. I would say net, he spent about 3 minutes with me, and didn't let me get in a complete sentence. Suggested I had carpal tunnel, looked at me funny the whole time, never really paid attention to me...... Anyways, they called my PM, who told them to give me something a little stronger for the pain and to follow up with them on Monday. Oh, and after I left, I noticed on my discharge paper he had put my chief complaint as "back pain."
anyways....sorry for rambling on and on and on.

Oh Dabbo,

I am so sorry you went thru that and I can truly relate to it.

I became so sick of doctors looking at me like I was stupid. I had a time when I became in so much pain and my whole left side became numb. They put me in the hospital and ran tests and of coarse, with TOS......nothing showed.

So the idot doctor, came in and said to my husband in front of me......"You need to take your wife to a phyciatrist". Meanwhile, I sit there with a blue swollen hand.

The medical field stinks more now than it ever did and I sure don't see it getting any better, no matter what our health problems may be.

I saw my brother die in 3 weeks because they all moved at a snails pace.

Sorry, I'm bitchin too!

I hope you are feeling better though, and I can only imagine how hard it must be for you not to be able to handle your daughter in the way you want.

Chin UP my Friend...

Peggy
