I did it I am back, I even tanned while I was there. that feels great for the back.
I got it cut just at the shoulders, layered, angled toward the face from shoulder to the mid cheek, bangs trimmed to the bridge of my nose and fluffed. So much healthier and thicker looking. I just have to lean forward and dry and if I want curl the sides under. My eyes are shot today though. This afternoon I am taking a nap after I pick up Katie. They are calling for snow soon. The souther storm passed us this morning. Love you all, Di

Di- Sounds great! I bet you look like a million bucks.
Tanning must have been fun. The PA winters are hard when the sun goes away for so long. Can't wait for pics! Johanna

I know Di It's so hard to give up someone we love so much -- someone we tried so hard to help. The only thing -- the only thing -- that we have to let go of is the hurt. The love will always-always be there. Since she's communicated to you so early, you'll find many times when you're feeling down or low, that she's there right beside you. I truly believe that there's many-many layers to life that we don't understand. The ancient Orientals and the ancient Egyptians understood that there's more -- much more -- to life than just "now". You were privileged to know and to take care of a very special soul. That will bring comfort to you as the days pass. S'funny, we don't realize until after, the incredible impact these special souls also had on other people. I wonder sometimes, in my heart, if they're Angels sent here for a special purpose. Love and BIG HUGS. Barb |

Hi Di,
A new "do" can certainly lift the spirits. If you decide to go for a major chop.....even we not as young as we used to be gals can do Locks for Love.....they need 10 inches. Most salons that work with LOL give you a free haircut for your efforts. Please remember that it's okay to not feel great right now too. You have had so much pain and stress recently due to the loss of your daughter on top of your own health issues. Take care of yourself .....and never tell anyone that you are a day over 40 God Bless |

Di! I cut and colored mine, too! I had 1/2 my plain brown, and the long half was still blonde higlights. I had a TON of indecision, and frankly, didn't care about my looks...so what...who cares...
So fiance had a girl come and it was done today and she layered my very long hair to below my shoulders (so not short at all) and the layers are really long, so I can go air dry curly, or, blow out big, or, have a stylist iron it perfectly straight. Di, have you ever had a sytlist wash, blow and the use the straight iron to your hair, and then put a couple of strategic curls where they might want them? I used to get that done, and it was a reeeaaalll treat. Lasted a week, too. Di, my heart, thoughts - so much go out to you. I didn't get my card sent to you - I haven't had hands or arms for two weeks now - since the meeting...I can only hope you will accept it when it DOES come later...and I know you are the most understanding person in the world. We So Cal TOSers love you. |

Go for it girl!!!! You so deserve it....we tend to look after others despite our disability.......it is always the same with all tosers I think.....we are the caregivers......for some strange reason....perhaps a lesson to take care of us instead of others for a change
I can't wait to see your new do! I did mine in early december. I had long curly hair and now have a short bob with a different colour (went RED) boy is it fun being a redhead!! I have had so many compliments and some people have said they don't recognise me...so give carte blanche! let them give you the works total redo and make it easy to do!!!! Of course thinking of morning routine!! Have fun with it .....it will grow back and you can always change colour!! Lots of love and huge hugs, Victoria
