Angry Is there a Guide Book? aka what else Can't I do

Was thinking about taking up Scuba Diving. Yes I am a glutton for punishment. Thought the pain might be worth it. Went to check with a dr. She told me she wouldn't recommend it based on the fact that TOS affected your metabolic rate making you more prone to Clots. What??? No one told me that? Has anyone else heard this. My TOS is nuerological, didn't think I would have this kind of problem. Does anyone know of any good research books on TOS that the average person can understand. My husband is retired military I can't seem to get the same dr. twice at my clinic. Should I get a 2nd opinion. Tired of being told I shouldn't do something.

I haven't heard anything like the " TOS + metabolic rate = clot problem". That's a new one to me...

If someone has the vascular version of TOS then clots could be more of an issue.

We have a pretty extensive collection of websites & information in our useful sticky thread - http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread84.html

There's even some videos on you tube & Google videos with information about TOS.
