Well that is your choice Anne. I have done extensive research on this and am also a Nurse. I have been off work for over 2 years and I want my life back. I am willing to take the risk because at this point I have no quality of life. I go in on Friday for my surgery. I know all the risks and all the benefits. And the benefits out way the risks for me. What is right for one person may not be what is right for another. Each case is different and each persons needs are different. I have the most amazing Dr and I trust him explicitly.

Derf....did you have this surgery done with a snipping if the sympathetic nerve as well? Who did your surgery? LOL! same question for mouffette. I realize people will travel a great distance to find an experienced surgeon. This surgeon I saw was a great distance as well. I never asked the surgeon this myself, but is this considered a "partial sympathectamy" when they snip it? or full sympathectamy. I have not yet had the chance to enquire this of the surgeon.
Mouffette, I think ann was just concerned about you making an informed decision. I too have learned along the way to not believe everything I am told, but to do my own research, and ask questions from others who share simular experiences. Im sure you would agree.
Cheers,
Jay
