not stretching
pt working on my neck and t-spine breathing through my diaphragm not sitting (light aerobic exercise is good) chin tucks ice neck bracing (altho i have to be careful to not become dependent) magnesium, vit d, antioxidants i have to strengthen at some point. its just finding the right exercises. that's the tricky part. my nubmer one problem now i think is my t-spine being too tight.

You can create your own pillow using little balls that you can get at most fabric shops to fill it. I've had TOS for over 15 years now with little improvement inspite of PT, support while sleeping, and more. But I have complex bilateral TOS.

lower limb unloading simulate microgravity and induce an atrophy :
http://jap.physiology.org/content/70....full.pdf+html "The major findings of this study were the marked decreases in muscle strength and CSA observed after 4 wk of unilateral lower limb unloading. These responses are of similar magnitude to those produced by 4-5 wk of bed rest (5, 7, 10). This experimental model appears to be a valid simulation of bed rest and hence of changes (29) within the musculoskeletal system that occur in microgravity." clic on "full text", see the picture. |

It also helps for me to have a stack of books on the symptomatic side to prop my arm on in order to raise shoulder girdle to open up that area. I do the same thing when watching TV. What kind of computer work do you do? If there is a lot of writing, emails, chats, etc. then Dragon Naturally Speaking is for you. Another thing that helps is getting up when symptoms start and doing some Brugger, pec minor, scalene stretch, rib adjustment, etc. Then I can return. HTH. |
