Trig Passing of DDaymmb Mark

I just located the newspaper notice that our dear, long time friend Mark passed away in a car accident on Friday. I have not talked to his family.
I remember during my loss of De, how much pain Mark was in, but attended the funeral and supported our family with his love.

He had such painful battles, but lived for his two loving boys. I am just so saddend having received his emails to know there will be no more.

Mark B. Burgess, 47, of Shavertown, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011, in the Pinnacle Hospital, Harrisburg, Pa., due to injuries he received in a motor vehicle accident on Friday, May 27, 2011. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of David and Florence Menhennet Burgess, Exeter Township. Mark was a graduate of Seton Catholic High School, class of 1981, and received his phlebotomy certification from Luzerne County Community College. For many years Mark was employed at the Nesbitt Memorial Hospital and the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital as a phlebotomist. He was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church, the Valley Masonic Lodge 499, West Pittston, and the National Rifle Association. In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his wife of 13 years, the former Catherine J. Thomas; sons, David J. Burgess and Sean M. Burgess, both of Lake Wallenpaupack; and brothers, Russell Burgess and his companion, Rose, West Wyoming, and Dale and his wife, Janice, Harding; as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Metcalfe and Shaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with the Rev. Leslie Halchak of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the West Pittston Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening in the funeral home. Masonic Services will be held at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Chip Farms Animal Rescue 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, PA 18612
