I had choking like feelings , due to spasms of the neck muscles pulling up on my top rib & collarbones.. But never actually choked.
I did have to concentrate when drinking fluids or I could have had it go down the wrong way a few times..

does it feel like you have a tight turtleneck sweater on all time?
I had that feeling also - then I found an advanced PT guy that was able to drop my top ribs down into the proper place...that was wonderful.
